Reasonably-priced iPhone cover?

Please bear with me, I don't know too much about cell phones so I might not have all the details here…

My DD has an iPhone 5c and has asked for an Otterbox cover for it as a Christmas present. There seem to be two different styles, but neither are getting very good reviews for the 5c. Apparently there are issues with the "openings" on the case lining up with the different control buttons on the 5c phone (but line up for the 5s), and the case seems to not hold up very well. I know Otterbox will replace the case under warranty, but it seems foolish- people are reporting the case cracking within a few months of use! I want to get my DD something that will hold up and align with her phone, for this kind of money.

Can anyone recommend a cover/case for the iPhone 5c that is reasonably priced and gets good reviews?

Check Amazon. I got my Otterbox (Commuter Series) a lot cheaper there than they were selling them for in the stores. You might want another type, but I'm sure there are many others to choose from. Just get one that protects it from falls. (I've had an OB on two iPhones over four years with many falls and even one drop in a toilet, and it protected them nicely, even from the water - although technically the Commuter Series doesn't guarantee against water damage, mine just happened to.)
