Really stupid luggage tag question

I don't know if this is the right place to ask this and am a little embarassed to ask in the first place, but here goes nothing. I received my luggage tags, the ones with the castle on them, from my TA a few weeks ago and cannot for the life of me figure out how to put them on. There seems to be only one way TO put them on, but it looks like they would fall off eventually? I feel luggage tag challenged! I may just give up and purchase some luggage tags with the chains and just use those to secure these tags. Any suggestions?

It's ok we found that to. They look like they might fall off b/c the plastic is a little stiff. Sometimes we attached it under another one (luggage tag already attached) that had a buckle but we've never had one fall off.

Okay, I forget if the tag comes already attached to the loop, so I'm going to assume it doesn't.
Thread the loop through the hole in the tag, then thread the other end of the loop through the short end - attaches loop to tag.
Then, bear with me, I demonstrate better than I describe - I placed the long end of the luggage tag under some hardware connecting a handle to the suitcase, then threaded the entire other end, tag included, through THAT loop. Pull firmly but not too tightly on both ends; so far it's survived two flights, two BAGS trips and storage at Pop

kaytieeldr- Worked like a charm! Boy do I feel reeeally dumb right now! I was trying to put it on the handle! Never thought to put it on the handle hardware, right next to the other luggage tag...
