I'll eaither be here more or not at all. Please remember that I'm thinking of you all that need prayers and pixie dust. I truely have some wonderful friends in this box.

No other way than to just say it.. We lost Tom's Gram last night. She was 94 and had a wonderful life and I miss her more wvery second. had to have a ride in an ambulance that I NEVER want to repeat. She had a heartattack but was in such great shape that she agreed to a cardiac cath and was headed in to that room when she had a massive attack. They did EVERYTHING they could to no avail. Poor Dr was wrecked it was so not what he'd expected.

The other side of this is that my papa passed away 31 years ago on this day and that is why Tom and I picked this date we needed to bring something happy to it for me. I was my Papa's shadow for the 7 years I had him. appearantly Tom and I bound to each other now with this date.

not that he'll see it but happy anniversay honey I love you you are the light of my life I hope we have as many years as gram and gramp did.

Okay I now need to go pull off a birthday party clean up and cooking escapade for L. and hopefullly find my pillow before to long. the hour and a half this am and my 2 hour nap are long gone.

Christy, there is nothing I can say that will help you, but I am so sorry for your loss and the sadness you have to be feeling. Especially on a date that has different meanings, both a big part of your life.

From one Papa's girl to another,

Oh, Christy, I'm so sorry to hear this. I know it's not really a comfort, but she had a long long life. Be glad of all the time you had with her.

And, I hope you can celebrate some other day, I'm sure she would want that for the two of you.

Christy, I'm so, so sorry!! Sending you lots of love, prayers, and pixie dust!!

Christy, I'm so sorry... Much love, hugs and pixie dust....
Send all the boys/men our love too!!!

thank you ladies your thoughts, prayers, and hugs mean the world to me. I'm eating a couple of bites of food, checking in and headed for bed.

I've got the bulk of the cooking done, need to frost the cake, and finish the potato salad chopping. I will awake refreshed because I know that is what she would want and I will clean the house to the best I can .

Thank you all from all of us.

So sorry to hear about this Christy! Sending your prayers, strength, and pixie dust.

Rebecca

Christy - I am so sorry to hear of Tom's grandmother's passing, as I am sure she was such an integral part of your family! Isn't it amazing how we can make magic of some truly heartbreaking occasions? I believe that God gives us a great capacity to go above and beyond when we need it.
My own mother is 98 and I often wonder how long God will allow us to have her love and special smile in our lives? My condolences to you and your family. Caroline

Oh Christy I am sooooo sorry to hear this. First of all hugs to all of you. Please know that she is still with you. I'm sorry it was today. Hang in there. If there is anything I can do please be sure to let me know.
All of my love, sympathy, and support my friend.

:grouphug: So sorry for your loss, here's hoping you'll have happy memories to come:angel:

Oh Christy, I am so sorry! The higher power must have a plan that we can't see.

Thank you. With out all of you I'm sure I will be needing all the support I can.

Caroline you are so right. She was the matriach of the family for sure. She also was the farmers wife. She cooked and cleaned for the family and hired men she also drove the farm veichles. There are so many stories that have been left unshared.....

I believe he has a plan for all of us but there are days and weeks that I question it for sure.

thank you all of you! each on of you are so very special to me.

Off to finish the birthday party preparations........

Christy - just read this thread. I am so sorry. Much love and pixie dust to you and your family. You will be in our thoughts and prayers.

thank you ladies. It has been a long weekend and plans are coming together. We are having a reception here at the farm (at gram's house) but many have never seen ours so more cleaning will need to be done. I hope to get to bed early and feel better It's just been so draining.
I know I'm still not making sense when I talk but it will be that way for a while.

Services are fri and sat so I'm sure I won't be around much on those 2 days.

All the thoughts and prayers are much appriciated.

 I am so sorry for your loss!

When we lost DH's DUnc at 96 we were crushed. He was just always there. And the stories... I wish I had taken notes long ago...

So sorry, words just can't convey
