Man I am mad, going to WDW week before Christmas. No reason for me NOT to buy TiW early, will only be onsite once in year, now additional $50. SUCKS!!!

TiW lost me when it went from $75 to $100.....IMHO the $150 is absurd (At least for the way _I_ eat)

Here is the thing, for some people it is no longer a good deal. Thats ok, you don't have to buy it. For others, it is still a good value, especially for people like myself who normally travel with a bigger group, eat TS every night, and have at least a few alcoholic drinks.

Food quality goes down, pricing goes up...

Plus more and more restaurants aren't even taking the TIW card.

I'm done! (Actually I am done with TS in the parks period and very limited in TS outside the parks!)

Whether to get it or not is still going to be about whether you will spend enough to make the membership worthwhile. If you're going to spend enough to realize a discount, you might as well get it. If you're not going to spend enough, it wouldn't help you.

There aren't a lot of restaurants that don't take it. Morimoto Asia is going to take it but Boathouse isn't. The Landry restaurants don't take it (there are 3 of those and I rarely go to them anyway.) Teppan Edo won't take it but Tokyo Dining will. La Hacienda de San Angel won't take it, but San Angel Inn will.

On our first trip, 8 nights with 5 people, I calculated saving over $220. This does not count that we also used the valet, which was unnecessary, but a nice perk. (One night it was raining and one night I was with the 3 kids by myself)
So even if we had paid $150, we would still have realized a savings of $70
Now, we will also take two more trips, which will add 12 nights.

Chefs de France only takes it for lunch..

Victoria and Alberts no longer takes it.

I expect 2016 will see new cuts.

And if a restaurant can afford the DDP I see no reason they can't give me a small discount LOL!

(Morimoto is SO disappointing to me that I doubt I will be going!)

My first thought with the price raise was that it was bad business decision for Disney. I know that having the TiW makes me more likely to spend a little more on my meal and go to TS more over counter service (it was cheaper for my family at Biergarten than the counter service at France, for example). So I give Disney $100 and then spend MORE on food than I would have otherwise. So it seems like TiW would be a moneymaker.

But then maybe they need to "crowd control" the TS places more and don't actually want more people dining there, especially people not on the dining plan because they just don't have the capacity (I mean people were selling ADRs).

They've also probably calculated that some people will still get enough of a discount to spend $150 AND do a lot more TS dining.

Please with DDP they will NEVER have less crowds at Table Dining!
