I've never seen them say anything about it, and I've saw some big kids go through whose parents were claming they were 2. I dont know if they were or not, but no one ever questioned them.

When we were down in 2001, my nephew had turned 3, 3 weeks before we went and no one ever questioned if he was 3 or not. He was a much bigger kid too, very tall could've past for 4 if we needed him too.

oh my, prepare to be flamed. I would have to be honest. There have many threads on this topic. How many 3 year olds are not proud to be 3? What if someone asks him? Also, Disney has my dds birthday. I guess I always wander why this question is asked. If majority says it is Ok, it really isn't. It is just a decision you have to make. Hope you have a great time though!!

i don't think there should be any flaming. I just think that when I was asked this last time I made my reservation they asked how old my children were I said 9 5 and 1. When we go though they will be 9 6 and 2. So for me price doesn't change, but when we went in 2001 that was all on my sister since it was my nephew that was already 3.

DS turned three today, and we were at WDW last week...so he was just a week short of turning 3...but no one ever asked us for proof of age. Although, I will say that if we had gone this week after he turned three...and if someone were to ask him how old he was..he will proudly say "I am three now. I am not two anymore!". I, personally would pay for a ticket for him if he has already turned 3 at check in.

Not to be a jerk but yes, you really are trying to cheat the system. If she is 3 she needs a ticket.

Well, anyone over the age of 3 needs a a ticket, so you sort of are trying to "cheat the system."

No, they won't ask you for documentation of her age, although they may ask you how old she is, so you may have to lie.

It depends on the CM. I've seen some talk to the kids and ask their ages, others insist a kid (just)over 3 doesn't need to pay.

ya we have the same thing with my DS9 he will be 10 by the time we go in 2 mothns, he is an adult now - and I am paying the adult price for himwhich is alot considering the differnece in the dinning plan too!

So I will play the devils advocate since I see no worries in this.

A. Child just over 3
B. If you are not paying for meals and they are eating off of your plate then no big deal.
C. A child 3 days over being 3 takes up no more room than a child that is 6 months away from being 3
D. They still can't get on the high speed rides.

A 3 year old is a 3 year old heck you ask my 2 year old how old she is she holds up 5 fingers. I am not saying if you child is almost 4, but come on this nice ladies child just turned 3.

Personally I would hate to be asked and then have to lie. I think it's confusing to the child to be told it's OK to lie at Disney to save some money.

I really don't want to sound mean, but yes you would be technically "cheating the system." My dd is 10 now and I hate the fact that I have to pay an adult price for her, especially for the dining plan because she eats like a bird, but rules are rules and policy is policy. Disney has to draw the line somewhere and if she is indeed 3 when you go then you should pay. It really is no different than me having to pay an adult price for a 10 year old that is by no means an adult. But, ultimately it is your decision. Whatever you do, have a great trip!

Can you push back your travel dates to get there before he turns 3? Then you are not cheating the system if he is 2 when you arrive. Plus having a birthday in WDW is awesome!!!

If you weren't trying to cheat the system and pass your just-turned three year old off as two, there would be no need for you to ask the question. Disney requires a ticket for a three year old, whether that 3 year old has been three for one day or 364 days. Three year olds must also pay the child's price for a character meal or other buffet, whether that child eats four bites of macaroni and cheese or more than my five year old eats.

Will you have to submit to a polygraph or bring a birth certificate? No. Will a CM ask you or your child how old she is? Maybe. Is it worth it to you to lie (or omit necessary information) to save a few bucks? I can't answer that - I don't know you. Would it make you feel better if a bunch of strangers said it was OK and you should just do it since no one will know?

You can't say they won't ask. They asked my daughter in the stroller how old she was. He bent down to her and asked..how old are you princess...She told him she was two, and luckily since she was big, I carried copies of her birth certificate with me...
I'm just saying...it can happen. Instead of trying to cheat Disney out of a couple of bucks, buy her a ticket and let her get a button, and celebrate her birthday!
