We will be staying at the Hard Rock Hotel next weekend (Easter weekend) and will have the FOTL priviledge. If we start our day at Universal Studios right from the beginning (9:00 a.m.) how much of the park would be able to see keeping in mind we do have the FOTL priviledge? We really would like to spend some time at that gorgeous hotel and see IOA the next day....again how long do you figure we would spend there also?

You should be able to see it all by mid-afternoon. The trick is to figure out how to hit the shows. Like we have been able to leave Horror Make-up and walk quickly to Beetlejuice and catch both quickly rather than wait for the next show.

I agree that you should be able to do the studios by mid-day and I would say it takes the whole day to get thru IOA. There are many things to do there and some you may want to do several times.

The hotel is amazing and you'll have a great time staying there. Make sure you get a morning wake up call...it has a sweet surprize when you answer the phone  The pool is wonderful, it has music playing everywhere (also underwater) with a waterslide and it is open pretty late too.

Have fun!

For spring break week the parks will probably open early. It's never put in writing, but just happens. Therefore, you want to arrive the gate by 8am and stand near the front of the line. You'll be surprised to find other people know the secret, and do the same thing. I predict the parks will open by at least 08:30am, maybe even 08:15am if you are lucky. That extra head start is huge (even with FOTL) as you can walk thru the park and queues with no one in the way. At 11am the crowds will arrive and the walk ways will fill up. That's when it's time to catch a quick snack and then a few shows.

The parks stay open late (10pm) for spring break, so going back to the hotel room between 1-4pm is a good idea to get away from the crowds. At about 5pm, come back and you'll see the tired leaving.

April 15-22, the parks will open at *drumroll please* 8:00 AM.

That's cool. Even though I'm staying on-site I'll be at the gates when they open.

Oh, sorry...I thought you said, "Dumbo, please" :rolleyes1

Maybe some of those early birds will be too tired to stick around for Mardi Gras...but then with KC & the Sunshine Band and Kool and the Gang for the last two weeks...I don't think it will be anything short of packed those nights! :thumbsup2 :cool1: :dancing:
