I'll in in WDW with my husband Sept 11- Sept 18. I'm trying to plan out our days, since one of my main goals for the trip is to eat lots and lots of food ;) and I want to make sure to hit all my big restaurants -- Artist Point, Jiko, California Grill -- and smaller ones like Tempura Kiku, Sci-Fi, and Tangeierine Cafe.

Anyway, I'm a bit frantic about it because I'm worried about making PS's for the biggies. But then I thought, this is September! Do I really _need_ all these?

So I ask you! Is September slow enough that a couple can pretty much not worry about PS's and still be seated pretty quickly?

I can't say from experience, but our trip is at the end of Sept, and there have been a few PS that I called to change and wasn't able to get what I wanted at all.

If it's a must-do, I'd make a PS. If it doesn't work out, you could try to change the time when you're there.

I've been having a few troubles getting some of the PS's I wanted in September. I'd make them just to be safe. It doesn't hurt. If you think you'll need to change them, you can do it as it comes closer. Good luck :D

I stayed at the AKL in the middle of last September with just my husband and we had no problem getting into any of those restaurants. I did make priority seatings that day or the day before and even just walked into some of them at night for dinner like France which when we normally go in march or april you have to make the ps at least a few weeks ahead of time

good luck and have a great time

I would make ps's for some of the more popular restaurants ..such as Boma, Le cellier , character breakfasts etc.
You may still be able to get a ressie without them but it may not be the time of your choosing.

I think if you know already that you're going to certain restaurants, and when you might be going, it might just be a good backup to have PSs. My feeling is that you might as well, since there's no penalty for not showing up or cancelling.

I agree with these folks. We have been in Sept. many times and for the major restaurants at least, PS are a good idea. WE have seen people w/o PS turned away from spots like California Grill, Flying Fish, Yachtsman Steakhouse.

We are not big PS people. We usually make a PS the day of or sometimes the day before going to a restaurant when we go on trips. We went this year on Memorial Day weekend and had no problems. We were able to secure Fantasmic Dinner Package, Spoodles, Boma, Crystal Palace with no problems either day of or day before. We tend to eat a little on the early side so maybe that helps.

Good luck!

Thanks for all the input! I ended up making PS for the big restaurants -- Jiko, Artist Point, and California Grill.

Got the times I wanted for Jiko and Artist Point, but I ended up going a bit earlier than I planned for California Grill. Not a big deal for that one -- I expected it since I was trying to get a time around Wishes.

Can't wait!!

Hi Disneyjenca!! My boyfriend and I are going the same dates as you all! We've been to Disney a number of times in September--Just for my peace of mind I make alot of PS-if I use them great-if not no harm.. Do you mind me asking, where ya'll are staying??
We're staying at the Beach Club Resort(First time there for us)Can't Wait!!

My husband and I will be at WDW from the 11th through the 19th and we made our PS about 90days out and did not get some of the exact times that we wanted.
