Ok. Color me confused. Are women (PUMA's) who were going to vote for Hillary then switched to McCain racists? Just trying to keep my scorecard up to date. TIA.
Just be careful. Hoppin' round like that...ya' might get hurt.

The only thing that would hurt me is letting someone else do my thinking. I'm good, thanks!![]()

Unless you werent voting based on political platform, there is no way you can go from Hillary to McCain. Their political views were almost completely opposite. Even if you didnt vote for Obama, there were other candidates closer to Hillary in leanings than McCain would ever be.
So I stick by my call of ignorance.
So what if there are other candidates closer to Hillary? Did they have a snowballs chance in hell? Lets' face it, it's really a choice of only two. I'm sure that there were many Americans who were teetering, voting for the lesser of two evils. (I'm hopeful that will change in the future.)
Not everything is cut and dry, black or white. You have no idea why people voted the way they did. If you have those psychic powers, then you need to tell me if I should stop buying lottery tickets.![]()
So now that you know where I stand politically, would you have a bug up your butt towards me, now? For example, if you're conservative you must be against gay marriage? You must be 'this', you must be 'that', you might be a Redneck if......cut and dry?![]()
I have a GFM, and I totally 100% believe in gay marriage and the rights and benefits that go along with it. But I won't vote based solely on that issue, whereas you might. I really don't know, so I won't assume. Am I a traitor? You have no idea why people vote the way they do - people can say one thing to your face, and do another.
FTR- I am not downplaying rascism, it exists. But that word needs to stop being thrown around and seeing what it sticks to.
I wasnt using rascism as a point in my posts, as much as people voting for reasons outside of political beliefs. Voting for someone with exact opposite political beliefs as your chosen candidate because that candidate did not get the nomination is just plain stupid. It shows that you dont stand by your beliefs, and dont really care about the issues.
If you really felt HIllary should have won, you could have written her in. That would have made more of a statement than voting for McCain.

Shame there wasnt any thinking at all going on by some people in the last election![]()

So I stick by my call of ignorance.
You're right about that....look who won!![]()
I was about to post the same thing!!You're right about that....look who won!![]()

Those are the people we should be mad at. Unless of course they're voting for your guy.And FYI- I'm sure there are many who voted for Obama just because he had celebrities and Bruce Springsteen and BonJovi on his side. Not based on issues. I'm sure there a lot of people who walk into that voting booth totally cluless. Those are the people we should be mad at. Unless of course they're voting for your guy.
When Bush was president there were countless threads criticizing and dissecting every word he said.

Nah, just laughing at how he said it![]()
When Bush was president there were countless threads criticizing and dissecting every word he said. Now that Obama is president, the same thing is happening. It is inevitable that when a person is elected that nearly half of the country did not vote for, people will not agree with his policies. I don't think this has anything to do with race.
Choosing a candidate should not just be an eeny-meeny-miney-mo procedure.Ah... now I get it. They're stupid racists!

I personally think you should have to take a basic test on the issues to be allowed to vote. Not your opinion on the issues, just the fact that you know what they are.
