This is the first time I have booked our air ressies online. We have always booked through travel agents, so we've always had an actual airline ticket. So, do we just need to bring our confirmation number??? :)

TIA

I always print out the info and bring it with me to the airport, but I have never been asked for it or needed it.

I too booked via phone..........I figure I just get in line and give them the Confirmation # and they do the rest.

I LOVE the fact that I am not the only one here with these type of questions!
heeeee

I also print out the confirmation and information. I've flown many, many times this way and never once have they asked to see it. I just like knowing I have it just in case. All you need do is show them your driver's license or give them your name and where your destination is. They pull everything off their computers. It's really that easy and never a fear about losing a ticket!

Yes, you will be required to show a photo I.D. on check in and they pull up your reservation from that - but I always do print out the confirmation and bring that with - just in case.

I used to always pay to have paper tickets delivered because I was nervous about them losing the reservation if I actually didn't have it in hand. Now...e-ticket is the way to go. One time when I purchased a ticket on line, they didn't offer paper tickets but the price was so good, I had to buy them. I was a little nervous but couldn't believe how fast and effortless the process was. And like disneyfanatic60 said, you never have to worry about losing your ticket. I always print out the info from the net but have never been asked for it.

You should always get or request written confirmation at the time of booking.

Once in awhile computer systems are messed up and you have a much better chance of getting it fixed quickly when you have brought written information and evidence of your itinerary.

Fortunately almost all the time things go smoothly, all you need to do is show your ID, and it is quicker compared with paper tickets. You might even find it possible and handy to print your boarding pass at home before leaving for the airport.
