REALLY dumb question about WDW "100th" celebration???

Ok, I know they are celebrating DisneyLAND'S 50th birthday now. But DH said..."remember when we went a few years ago..we kept seeing "100" all over the parks? what was that all about?"

For instance, at the entrance of MK, there was a huge display of flowers that said "100" really big. What was this for? Thanks for answering my dumb question. Dh and I are scratching our heads on this one.

That was celebrating what would have been Walt Disney's 100th brithday.
