First off, to second some other nominations:
1) the tampon ad where the teacher says "I hope you have enough for everyone!" DUH I teach at a HS and any teacher on the staff knows what a tampon is and looks like--even if they aren't married they have moms and sisters!!!!
2) the flu medicine one where the guy sends his kids out in a snowstorm dressed for a sailwaway party, but with winter coats on. Is any man that helpless? MY DH sure isn't.
Now for my own nomination:
I dont' know if it is a regional or national jewelry chain , but it is called "Jared" ( like the boys name). I thought nothing was more annoying than their radio commercial (with a horrible, screeching voice singing 'WHOOOAAAAA, That's Jared!") but on the TV commercials women get jewelry and say "he went to Jared!" like he found the grail or something. Usually there are friends and family proudly agreeing "He went to Jared!" or a disgruntled woman smacking her own man saying "HE went to Jared!" like her own man is less of a man for not shopping at the right jewelry store! In one ad you'll here "He went to Jared!" at least a dozen times.
BTW there is an emphasis on the last syllable--it's pronounced "Jair-ed".
