Really appreciate DVC!

We have been members since 1994 at OKW(with add-on at HHI in 2002). We have taken advantage of the great vacationing since we joined and always knew we had a great deal. Just on a whim, I entered our next dates into WDW reservation system. We are staying BCV 12/26-12/31/04 in one bedroom. entering Home away from home, we got BCV studio for the same five nights and total cost was $2500+. and that was a studio, not our 1-bedroom..sometimes reality is shocking. Just glad we joined when we did! Have many more vacations to come!

I recently did the same thing for our late Nov. early Dec. vac. We have a 2 bdrm and a studio (bringing family) and it was in excess of $4000. How else could you ever afford to do this for your sibs and niece and nephews! What a great feeling!

We checked the cost for DS graduation trip with friends and it was over $4K! He and his friends never would've been able to afford to stay at BCV if they had to pay for it themselves. Glad we have the opportunity to stay in villas rather than just a standard hotel room. Annmarie

I did the same thing with our 17 night trip. Boy was it an eye opener. It would cost over $13K to stay 17 nights in a 2 bedroom villa!!

In 10/2002 we had a large family gathering a BWV. We said we'd supply the rooms which turned out to be two 2BR's and 3 studios. According to the web site I would have had to pay over $15,000+tax for the rooms, all I had to do was to borrow points from the next year. We plan to do it again in another couple of years. Without DVC there's no way we could have done this.

We've got 2 -2BR and 1 Studio at VWL for 7 nights starting in one week (yee-haw) and when I looked on-line for what it would have cost us out of pocket to take DH's extended family for a week - it was over $10,000. We're both teachers - so without DVC - that would've never happened! Life is good

We took a 5 night trip this last Jan. with all our parents (DS first trip...Grandparents couldn't say no).
We stayed in a 2-bedroom at OKW with my Mom. Then had two additional studios for Hubby Folks and my Dad and Stepmom.
After eveyone left Hubby, DS and I spent an extra 3 nights in a studio at WLV.
We couldn't have treated everyone to there lodging if we hadn't had DVC.
Then of course there is our 2000 trip when we stayed in an OKW GV. Those were running about $6000 for the week at that time.
DVC is one of the best purchases we have made.

I hear ya! We just bought SSR. Even with the financing still it is still cheaper for us to get a studio then it would be for the rack rate. The rack rate is $250ish (so says DH ) and our financing is about a third of that so its costing us a heck of alot less (figuring it out has started to confuse me!)...
