Turn into Captain Chip magic pin(TICCMP)???

Get the stitch!!!

Don't forget Turn Into Nano magic pin ;) ;) :teeth: :lmao: :lmao:

I'm guessing prize will be a pin that looks like the real pin, but it is just a VMK pin. Would love if it were the old quest stuff, but I really don't think that it will be.

From what I have heard the prizes will be the same as the ones from the old pirate quest. Since there are 10 pins I'm not sure what some of them will be.
Here's my GUESS:

VMK pin - pin similar to the insider tour pin
Mickey at the Helm - ??
Pluto - Treasure Rug
Donald - Seagull hat
Minnie - Couch
Goofy - stool
Stitch - flaming window
Mickey with treasure - ?? (Treasure Detector Magic??)
Chip - ??
Dale - ??

The only other prize from the quest is the room which doesn't really match any of the pins, so I'm not sure if that would be one of the card prizes.

I pretty much came to the same conclusion. I'm totally guessing on the pin with mickey at the helm; maybe a pirate costume? I'm completely clueless as to what chip and dale might be.

So excited about the set though!

I am very concerned about these pins....

There have been a few other "secret' Pin boxes sold... and each aand everyone of them have been rifled thru... boxes opened, pins all around... Quite a mess in the DTD store....

My guess is some of the VMKers close to WDW/DLR will go thru, open boxes and pick and choose what they get... AND swipe a lot of the cards out of the boxes.

Oh yeah... it wont be pretty (when the pretty is gone, for you Rockstar INXS people)

Well, *IF* WDW/DLR merchandisers are smart, they will require that these be behind the counter *and* have them follow the standard limits of 2 per customer. That would go a long way to making this a success.

I dont see them limited them... they are not "limited addtions" and would like the sales....

Let's hope they look at the other 'mystery' pin boxes mess and do keep them behind the counter... I was talking with Bug about this last night and she said maybe they will glue the boxes.... They might, but I bet if they are out in the open, glue wont stop some people....

If memory serves me right, the mystery Minnie pins were a sealed tin when they were sold. I'd assume these will be sealed.

I was at WDW for a release of the surprise/boxed pins and they did keep them behind the counters at least for the first couple of days. By then most places had sold out. The only places I found the pins not behind the counter were the two gift shops at the Port Orleans resort. One of those boxes had been opened however, it contained the two most wanted pins so I suspect it was just a case of a kid playing with the sticker that sealed the box.

A bit of advice for those who will buy the boxed pins, open the boxes at the cash register with the cashier watching in case there is a problem with the contents. In my case, most of the time the cashiers asked me to open the boxes to check the pins.

Thanks for the advice on opening at the counter qruthie. I'll remember to do that. Along those lines, I suggest people take the cards over to VMK Central and enter them into the system while your still in the park. Have a Cast Member watch you type in the codes, that way if there's a problem you can (hopefully) get a replacement straight away. This is especially recommended when the cards/codes are new (ie - Until they get the inevitable bugs worked out. :teeth: ).

As for what cards will be contained in the boxes... Hmm, my first thought was to agree with other posters and think the cards will match the pins (bird hat for Donald pin, etc.). And part of me thinks I would like that, except I'd also like something new. Of course there are more pins than Retired Pirate Quest items, so I could get my cake and eat it too, except... I read this:

Q: Will Park Quest rewards from Disneyland or the Magic Kingdom ever be available any other way?

A:
Park Quest prizes are exclusive to Park Quests and once those items and the Quest are over, we don't have plans to bring them back.
It seems they won't be bringing the Retired Pirate Quest items back. Which means 10 new VMK items. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Either way I'm very excited. Pin collecting and VMK are my two biggest Disney Hobbies. And soon I'll have two, Two, TWO great tastes in one! :cheer2:

P.S. Mickey at the Helm as a VMK item. HA! :rotfl:

Hmm... After further consideration, I wonder... didn't they release items from the In Park Haunted Mansion Quest in VMK? I mean like the spooky trees, Madame Leota's Crystall ball and books. Those items were for sale. And the table and chairs? Invisibility Magic was released at least as a Pirates game prize for a long time. I think the only part of the original HM Quest that wasn't released in other was was the Room and Clock. Can anyone confirm this?

Of course that doesn't mean that way Yavn says is false. It could be they "don't have plans now to bring them back."

Hmmm...
