Ok.. a few things as a pin collector, I can probably clear up:
These are not REAL gold pins, and they won't be.. What the description means, is that the "gold" portions of the pin will be filled with a different looking surface, when they are released into production.
These pins are sample pins, pre-production, artist proofs. They are 2 of them.. made for demo purposes before they start making the thousands that will be available in the parks. These 2 specific pins will be auctioned off at a pin event. The big time pin collectors values these artist proofs and they have far more monetary and trade value in the future due to their rarity.
I definitely look forward to collecting these pins! They will be open edition, which means they should be available for some time. I am imagining though, that they will sell QUICK once new shipments come in, because they are a surprise as to which you get in the box, many people will be trying to get the entire set. I can't wait to see what cards come with them too!
