...get your mind out of the gutter I'm talking about Christmas Trees

We started a family tradition when we first got married, we go to a tree farm and cut down our own tree every year...They give you a really nice pewter ornament to go with it. What do the rest of you do?

The "big" tree is real. The smell brings back fond memories of childhood for DH.

The "little" tabletop tree in the living room is fake, with the lights already on it. So easy!!!

We did the fake one when we had cats. Since then we have always done real. Love the pine smell.

Even the thought of a fake Christmas tree is horrifying in our house!

We have an artificial tree. I am allergic to Pine, so it's artificial or nothing.

Funny it took my parents YEARS (I think I was 10) to figure out why I was sick each Christmas but seemed to get better as soon as Chirtmas was over

We've had a fake tree for years now. When I was young we used to go out and chop down our tree but now adays it's just to hard. Also my mom has bad allergies so a real tree usually makes it hard on her.

I usually have real but this yr I think I am forgeting Christmas, we have it all yr long in our house and money is tight

I always buy a real one. Our local animal shelter sells them as a fund raiser, and I buy from them every year!

We always get a real tree. We love the smell of it.

I also feel sad driving by those Christmas tree lots on Christmas Eve (late) and seeing all the trees that didn't get bought.

I have this downfall of personifying innanimate objects, but I always see those unbought trees, and they just seem so sad to me, like they're thining, "No one will decorate us this Christmas. Boo-hoo.

So by buying a real tree, I feel that I am doing my part, and giving a tree a home.

I've always wanted to get a real Christmas tree, but we never have. Hopefully one year soon we can!! But every year in the past we have had a fake tree

We put up THREE fake trees - a teensy fiber optic one in the hall (because our hall is teensy), a biggish one in the sitting room, and another medium size one in the kids den. That is about it for my Christmas decorations as I'm a bit of a grinch.
Oh, I buy smelly candles to get that Christmas tree smell!

But for health reasons that's what we have. It has made a big differece it our breathing and no more coughing. I hope I never have to give up Disney for health reasons. I don't know if I could overcome it.

I grew up on a farm that sold Christmas trees, it is like unthinkable to have only a fake tree, so obviously I have a real one, plus my Dad still sells the trees (pumpkins for Halloween too) and I can get them for free, if I was getting more than one tree I might get a fake tree.

None. OK, just this year. We have a fake in the closet, but we're not putting it up this year since we'll hopefully be heading to Disney World in mid-December and we'll be going to our parents' after that. And before that, we'll have far too many guests in the tiny little house for graduation to take up space with a tree!

We have fake. I would love a real tree but, DH is an asst fire chief and has seen too many fires started from christmas trees. I have begged and pleaded and promised that I will keep it watered to no avail
