Real Life game/fun: Calling for a DisBoard Gamers DisMeet....first week Oct 2013

I hope that there is nothing wrong, Bobbi.

BTW - I'm doing a snap visit to California from 1 - 9 Nov. Gonna visit with Alison in SoCal and catch up with Jo & Angela in SF.

Wow, have a great time!

Are we getting close to DVC booking time yet?

11 months from check in date, DVCers can book for up to 7 days. So, depending on arrival date, it will be late October or Early November for booking.

Bobbi:thumbsup2

I mentioned this on a thread. The longer I teach this semster, the more I don't want it to be my last, so I am more likely to reduce my number of WDW days next October. I will be there and overlap as much as I can.

Yesterday I mentioned teaching next autumn to DH and he's all for it, if I'm up to it. Now I have to talk it over with DS/DDiL. We have begun planning a trip to the NW National Parks, and that will need to be on hold for another year. I hope that goes as well as it has here.

franandaj, I saw on a DVC thread that you're talking about January! THIS January? I'll be at WDW for some of January, but with time off site for the Member Cruise and VB! If you're talking about this January, we'll even be at AKV the second week, before the MC! Oh yes, for another 2 nights a bit after the cruise. I'm having friends join me, and I just have to show them AKV, I think it's a great resort!

Actually we're looking at a Jan/Feb 2013 trip. Fran loves it when I span the 1st so rent checks don't go in until late! :lmao: We get to Disney property on the 30th and leave on Feb 7th. I just booked our outbound ME. We need to figure out our rental car since we need it for the Universal part, but need to return it once we get to Disney.

So now that Fran has thrown that whole fly from Orlando back to LA. Rest two nights back to Atlanta thing (which I think will be a disaster), I convinced her that we should add on some of the days beforehand that we would have afterwards. We will plan on checking in at the BCV on the second, but maybe precede that stay with a few nights at the VWL and try out our new points that we have there, finally!

If that is the case we should nail down our dates since 11mos is coming up soon!

Sounds great! I'll work the rest of my plans around the WDW dates.

So while PIO was here we played around with some dates. While the 11 month mark was today (now yesterday), we were too busy running around DL to book anything. What we figured out was that booking a two bedroom lockoff for one week was only 18 more points than booking a one bedroom for five nights and a studio for one week.

With that in mind, I'd rather just book the lockoff even if we take off a couple days early. PIO and her family can enjoy the 1 bedroom part of the unit after we leave and that way we know we will be in close proximity to each other during out stay, but in separate units. And then they don't have to check in and out of the unit on the day we check out.

I'm going to book it (since there is no penalty) and then we'll work out the details as it gets closer!
