Pennsylvania has been granted an extension for the REAL ID Act until August 1, 2019. What does this mean?

The extension means that current PennDOT-issued driver's licenses and identification cards can be used to enter federal facilities and board domestic commercial flights through August 1, 2019.

Thanks. Looked this up before we left a couple of weeks ago. We are ready for the new licenses.( pre-approved online). Will get them this spring.
