~ Real Housewives Of NewYorkCity ~

I want to know how the ettiquette queen's daughter developed such lousy table manners? Every time they show that poor girl eating it makes me sick. Maybe mom wasn't home often enough to tell her to close her mouth when she chews.

Love Jill and Bethenny. They don't pull any punches. Ramona drives me nuts. I just want to shush her. Kelly is boring. LuAnn's voice is sounding like she's smoking a couple of packs a day.

Daaaaaarrrrrrrlinggggg.....the Countess doesn't smoke. :lmao:

Alex & Simon are just wanna-be's. They try to live the high life, but they really don't fit in.

Bethanny has some of the funniest one-liners. I loved when she said last week, "Gloria is like the mafia, once you get in, I don't think you can get out."

It was funny this week when Luann was talking about Ramaon's outfit at the horse show, "Oh I saw Ramona and she had on a big hat, a tank top and these short shorts" and Bethanny was dressed the same way!

I guess that was Rosie, the maid's responsibility. (In between everything else she has to do.) :sad2:

That lunch must've been so much fun. I know I'd love to go to lunch with somene who was going to critique everything I said or did.

Rosie didn't even get through the door, and LuAnn was showing her the laundry to be done. Dang!

Kelly is boring me.

Next week's previews look great.

I agree Kelly is sooooooooooooo boring and soooooooooooo guarded. You can't be that way on a reality show IMO. The other ones are much more interesting/contraversial/wacky.

Just got this email from my DH:

On the way to work just went past Chandler Hotel (on 31st Street where Simon is manager) and there was Simon, in his grey suit, pink shirt and colorful tie with his hair puffed up, smoking.

So at least he's not acting or lying when he says that he likes color - he really does!

Kelly really bores me! Thus far, I do not feel she has added anything to this show at all.

I also thought it was funny that they tried to make it look like all of these things were happening around the same time. Alex said they had rented their house for 4th of July but they were interspersing scenes of them in the Hamptons with scenes from the Hampton Classic which does not even start until the last week of August. It just goes to show how they play around with the editing.

I don't think Alex could be THAT great of an actor. He has that creep factor down pat. lol

I realized about the editing when Jill sent off her daughter to Paris for the entire summer in one episode then she was suddenly back in the next. lol

I just read Alex lost her job. She's looking for a new one and said they are doing fine.

OF COURSE she says they're doing just fine! They're such pretenders to begin with, what's a few more thousand on the credit cards.

Simon better watch out, too, though--it's not the best time to be in "high end" anything. They could be hit real hard by the current recession. Jill and ramona, with their family businesses, probably wouldn't get hit so hard.

So true. My mouth dropped to the floor when they went to that little shop and dropped $8,000 on those fugly clothes. lol

I get such a kick out of this show. These ladies are crazy! They live in a reality all their own.

I grew up in a "shack" in the Hamptons, but I was a townie. I babysat for the LuAnne's and Ramona's of the world. I didn't think it was funny when I was living it, but now I find their attitudes very comical.

What? Your husband doesn't want pink or green loafers?:confused3 Is he afraid of color?;)

I just asked him.

Me: Honey, would you wear pink or green loafers like Simon?
Him: NO! Why?
Me: Nothing, are you afraid of color?
Him: YES!

:rotfl2:

LuAnn makes me crazy. I watched 3 episodes tonight (DH is gone) and I would love to slap some sense into LuAnn - she is so stuck up! Countess... her husband does look OLD.

I love the comparison of the Hampton's poll to the backyard Brooklyn pool. I think Alex needs a ruler. 3x10 feet? Come on. Who is she kidding?

Glad to see I am not the only one that gets a kick of of these shows.

I was a Nanny in NY/NJ andPhilly. I am So glad that my "families" we not like these.
