~ Real Housewives Of NewYorkCity ~

I just wish they'd admit that Simon is the real Housewife of New York!!

:rotfl: So true!

They never really even mention their other little boy. It's always Francios this, Francios that. (Not sure if I spelled that right). I don't even remember the other kid's name.

Did anyone notice in the scenes filmed at Alex and Simon's Brooklyn house...again....they only filmed mainly in the bedroom...and Simon stood in the hallway door you could see that the floor is still torn up and the wood trim was all nasty. (and believe me, I understand a house being remodeled and under construction.......I just think it is funny because they are so pretentious about things.....)

I noticed that, also! It was gouged out!

What about when Luann said "The countess does not drink out of a beer bottle!".

Alex and Simon make me want to vomit. And all that Francois crap...give me a break! That poor kid is going to grow up with a complex. I didn't even realize there was another kid!!!

Actually-Francois DID get a haircut-he must have started school! Now "nameless" younger son has the long hair.;)

One think I do like about the NYC kids-they all have good manners, go to excellent schools , are polite and respectful.
The Mothers are educated and cultured.

The Orange County kids are spoiled, disrepectful, have NO ambitions re: school, education, or jobs.I doubt any of the Moms have barely a High school education and probably never stepped in a museum in their lives:sad2:

Can someone explain where the Hamptons are?
Is it the same place as Long Island?
Me and my dh were discussing this last nite and he said, isn't NYC summers about the same as Wisconsin. It looks like Florida the way everyone is always dressed.

I told him, they probably film about 3 weeks in July and make 10 shows.

At the very end of Long Island-where very wealthy New yorkers have summer homes/mansions.
Some towns/locations are pricier than others.

The beach "sucks" compared to the gorgeous beaches of destin Florida-where we vacation, However!

NYC gets blazin' hot, just like the rest of the east coast.

I have no idea how to spell it but it's Johan "yohan".

Yes the Hamptons are on Long Island and the summers in the NY/NJ area are much longer than 3 weeks. I am not sure what summer is like in WIsconsin but we do get weather that is very hot and sticky here.

Ahh, Loverly, now you are going to make me have to strongly disagree with you about the Hamptons' beaches - they are beautiful. East Hampton has consistently been ranked in the "Best 10 Beaches in America" for several years by Stephen P. Letherman also known as 'Dr. Beach' http://travelwithkids.about.com/od/beachvacations/ss/2008_Top_Beachs.htm

and it's been Ranked #1 in America's Top 10 Romantic Beaches by America's Best and Top Ten http://www.americasbestonline.net/beachrom.htm

DH and I travel a great deal, spending a lot of time in Florida (Gulf Coast, East Coast & Keys-we love FL), North Carolina Outer Banks, California, the Caribbean, Hawaii, the Mediterranean...and with it's soft, white sandy beaches and dunes, the Hamptons truly does have some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. And, the villages are adorable as well.

And, OhMari, as others have said, it can get VERY hot in the summer in NYC, which is why so many escape to the Hamptons which is about 90 miles away and because of its ocean breezes, it's always about 10 degrees cooler out there. We have a house out there and we keep our pool open from May through September.

Did anyone see the article in People Magazine? They listed the housewives ages:
Bethenny - 38
Alex - 35
LuAnn - 43
Jill - 45
Ramona - 52
Kelly - 40

I was a bit surprised Ramona is the oldest. I thought LuAnn would be. (Or perhaps they weren't all honest.;) )

Strange how different people age. I would have put Alex at slightly older than Bethenny. Kelly looks like mid 40's to me at least. Ramona and Jill look the same age and Luann looks the oldest.

okay no comments about last night?

Who goes clothes shopping with their husband like Alex and "her wife"? They spent $8,000 on top of it. Wow!!!!!

 I was just coming here to comment on that.....$8,000 for those outfits...those shoes for Simon...:scared: Did he buy the PINK ones?? :scared: And they want to match each other when they dress?????

Funny, their good friend, owner of the store never mentioned coming out to meet P DIDDY until after they handed over $8,000.00 to him...."Hey, I meeting up with P Diddy tonight, come by!"

And I feel asleep after they left the store. :guilty: I only saw the Doggie Party and their shopping spree.

I loved when Bethenny said LuAnn was being "dis-countess" at the benefit. I also loved her lunch with Ramona where she had broken most every one of Ramona's rules of manhandling. She is too funny!

I also thought after some of the whacky parenting relationships we had seen on the OC (Vicki pleading with her mom to tell her she loved her; Tamra crying with her dad about whether he loved her...), it was nice to see Jill and her mom and their real emotional bond together.

I hope that Bethenny finds someone as funny as she is to love. She really cracked me up with her impersonation of Jill this year and I was also happy to hear the discountess comment about LuAnn (apparently this is going to be LuAnn's yearly complaint). LuAnn is really all about the title.

I am no fan of Ramona - crazy eyes. I think that Ramona's daughter acts older than Romona does at times. When she left the charity event because she just can't be around Alex and her husband because of their negativity - well I guess that Ramona wasn't being negative in that act. I really don't know if I can take too much of crazy eyes this year with her middle school act.

Well the producers may have added a 6th so called housewife (Kelly) but they already had the 6th one from last year in Simon so now Kelly will technically in my mind be housewife #7. I had to laugh when they showed that wonderful funky hamptons cottage that Alex and Simon got stuck with and I am sure that they were not happy to see the fence setup to block the boys from heading to the pool. Even though I know that they are social climbers I only think they went to the Hamptons to make required airtime schedules. As the other ladies all own homes on the island, Alex would have to rent just to be shown in the first couple of episodes but you can tell looking at them that they really didn't want to vacation there.

Anyway, I am sure that there will be more of the same offerings as last year and at least there is something that I am interested in watching on a Tuesday night now.
