Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

This is sad news. I wonder if Taylor will continue doing the show?

"As we previously reported, Russell -- an investor who made his money in the 90s during the dot com boom -- filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in 2005, claiming he had less than $50,000 in assets ... and debt somewhere between $1 and $10 million."

If they are in that much debt, what the heck are they doing spending $70,000 on a 4 year old's birthday party. Crazy!

She's a fame----- with no apparent job skills or prospects. I'm guessing she'll be up front on Bravo and anyplace she can sell her story.

My understanding is that the show is pretty much wrapped up.

Well the bankruptcy filing is 6 years old but I wouldn't be surprised if that was still an issue.

That's about keeping up appearances.

I feel bad for that little girl. She'll have no real memories of her father :(

Gosh I feel so bad. The Armstrongs were broke. Theresa and Joe from NJ Housewives are pretty broke too. What kind of people are they getting for these shows. Do these people feel like they have to live a fake life just to be on the show? Its not worth it.

Turns out there is not a lot of "Real" about the show when it comes down to the finances.

Very sad about Russell's news, my heart goes to his family.

A part of me kinda believes what the ex-wife said. Especially with that $60,000 birthday party Taylor threw...and had the nerve to be upset he came home with a puppy.

I just lost a friend this past week to suicide so I really sympathize with the family/friends. It's all just so sad.

That is so sad! I feel so bad for their children. I wonder what this means for the show. In the above link, it says they decided to cancel filming.

Ok, they updated it since I first read the article. Finally, something decided to do a little something decent. But you know they are going to fully capitalize on this. I'm sure somewhere, some Bravo exec is secretly happy this happened during production.

Search for Stoopid Housewives and Real Faux Housewives. The latter especially, is harsh when it comes to Taylor.

Be prepared reading Real Faux Housewives. It's harsh.

They haven't cancelled filming entirely, only for tomorrow.

There is probably a little bit of truth to this, but if he went bankrupt in 2005, before or at the start of their marriage, how could she be to blame for him losing all his millions and driving him to suicide? He was engaged to someone else in 2004 from what the article said.

I assume he was married to this first wife during his dot.com heyday.

I'm so sorry~

I was stunned to read about Russell~
It's easy to get caught up in the entertainment value of these shows and forget that these really are real people.
It appears like Russell had a lot of issues before his marriage to Taylor. It makes you wonder about all kinds of things about their marriage and life together appearing on the show.
My heart goes out to Kennedy and his other children.

I think it's so unfair to blame someone else (his wife, for example) other than the person that committed suicide for why they chose to do it.

Depression, combined with secrets (rumors going around) and life events (finances) are probably why but that doesn't make it his estranged wife's fault. :(

This is SO sad.

My heart absolutely breaks for Kennedy, as well as his other kids. And, while I would never lay blame on Taylor/Shana for the suicide, I do hope it serves as a strong and bracing reality check of how she lives her life and treats other people. Hopefully, it will be the catalyst she needs to finally grow up and start living an authentic life.

In no way do I ever believe Taylor drove him to suicide because you never know how someone is going to react to hardship and pain, but if he had already went bankrupt in 2005, I don't see how she, with a straight face, could ever spend that much on their daughters birthday party....and who knows what else. He probably was just stretching himself as thin as he could just to make her happy and give her what she wants...and it tooks it's toll emotionally and mentally.

True. This guy had his own demons and he chose a woman like that because it built his own ego. Unfortunately, he couldn't live up to the hype.

Too bad he didn't consider his children before making this decision, they will have to live with this for the rest of their lives. This is the saddest part of all of this. :guilty:

Something about your post makes me wonder if you happen to know her or her family?

Sad, tragic story.
