I've already started putting up my tree's .. no way I could put up a real one..LOL... (also allergic to real ones)

We have both types.

I'd rather not cut down trees. Plus, I don't like cleaning up all the little pine needles in Feb. :)

Fake. I hate the needles all over the place.

Fake

I almost ruined our beautiful hardwood floor the first year we lived at this house. Plus - I hate vacuuming pine needles for months....hauling the tree into the house (paid to have it delivered the last time!)

I just burn Yankee Candle tarts for the pine odor.

Always fake. I need to breathe.

I put real, but we have one of each. In our bedroom we put an artificial tree, downstairs we put a rea tree.

I prefer a real tree to a fake tree, they smell wonderful and if you pick out a good tree and keep water in the stand it will not drop that many needles. Besides you have to sweep or vacuum anyway.

I voted for real too, although we do both! I prefer a real tree! But now that we do two trees, it is easier to do the main tree real and the other fake.

Fake, boy that word sounds cheesy!

I DESPISE putting on the lights so ours is also prelit. It cuts down on the naughty words! ;)

For the scent of pine I just use candles. It just gives me a good reason to buy more each year::yes::

Fake. My SO has really bad allergies and can't handle the smell.

I will only have real trees for Christmas....just doesn't seem the same to me with a fake tree...

I'll bet the answers tend to vary depending on what part of the country people are from. For example, when we lived in Massachusetts, we used to cut our tree at a local Christmas Tree farm (appropriately called Love's!). Like Sparky in "Christmas Vacation", I felt it was all part of the experience. Wouldn't consider an artificial tree. Now that we're here in South Texas, the real trees are trucked in by Thanksgiving, displayed in 80 degree temperatures, expensive, and vry dry. Here, I couldn't imagine anything but an artificial tree. The real trees are so sad compared to what we had. But I do miss that smell!

Only real will do in this house! Have to have that smell!

It's all worth the day long event of looking thru the lots to cut one down & draging it back to the truck! All the kids know it will take all day, then hot coccoa at home to warm up.

That's all part of Christmas to me!

Fake. I love the IDEA of real, but between allergies, pine needles all over the place, and expense, fake wins. We have a "narrow" tree, which is just as tall as a regular tree but takes up less floor space.

Real; living in OR, Christmas tree central, it's NO problem getting a great fresh tree for a very reasonable price. (a medium tree, douglas fir, easily $20. More for a noble or a big tree)
