Real Care Baby

Thats soooo not fair! That doesn't cry! Or need fed. Or need to be changed!

Yeah. But you draw your baby out of a hat. So like it could be a planned baby, a broken condom baby, a baby with AIDS or HIV+, down syndrome baby. If it's anything than a planned healthy baby you have to write this big huge report on it. Oh and if your flour sack rips you have to call a funeral home and plan out a baby funeral.

Wow.
If I ripped my flour sack I just get an F. XD
I forgot what I got.
My teacher divided us up in pairs of two.
Mostly girls with girls and boys with boys.

IDC! I'd much rather have that!

This thing is driving me crazy! I hit it too hard trying to burp it and it was coo-ing for 30 mintues! I am soooooo freaking sick of it!

I had a real baby brother so I am used to all that. Now he is 2 and I am so happy he sleeps through the night because I sleep in the next room over. He is also moving into my room when he turns 3.

we only had to take it home for one night.

and those kids who had it for the snow days, well it actually turned off so they just had to keep in in their house.

and i HATE it when they breath.
it's so freaking annoying. i thought it was broken.

No offense to your bf or any other guy but I would kill to see a guy I know have to do this. See how their emotions get worked up.

His baby didn't really bother him. It kept him up for a total of about an hour each night. (He had it 3 nights & 2 days.)

Having to wake up at four am bugged him, a lot.

I had the second version of it three weekends ago for a total of 4 days and 3 nights. The only thing annoying about the whole process is how it is a completely unrealistic representation of an actual child.

To all of you who are saying the baby is annoying or embarrassing to walk around in public with.... um, isn't that the point? It would be a lot more annoying or embarrassing to walk around high school pregnant and/or with a real baby.

i took mine to walmart. it didn't embarass me. perhaps becuase it was obviously 15lbs of shiny pink plastic.

now, the flour, that would be embarassing. I mean, WHO CARRIES FLOUR AROUND?

it breathing is freaky. it only does one little breath every like 15 sec.

lol Mine only woke up at 1:51-2:21 with a few different needings in that time.
Shhh...don't tell anyone I posted this.

A friend of my boyfriend and his baby, Mulan.
I'm sorry, couldn't see it. But I'm sure its cute! lol

just dig a hole in your backyard.
throw it in there.
and then fill the hole back up.
NO ONE WILL EVER KNOW!! ;)

hehe :p oh girlie just look on the bright side, atleast you dont have twins!

Yeah I had to do that two years ago. I actually didn't have too hard of a time with my 'baby'. Yes it cried...yes I got weird looks when I went out with it, but overall I think it was a pretty good experience...especially when it cried in class and I could leave to take care of it!

I had to keep that log too...that wasn't fun.

Good Luck!

 That just may work. Oh but wait, I still have to take care of it......grrr!

I got it after school and I return it before school so no leaving class for me. =[

OMG! Today it was sooooo good! Except for the 2 times I mishandled its head and it screamed bloody murder. But while I was at the eye doctor it didn't do one thing but breathe and coo. Yay!

I have a choice.
I can either carry around an egg for a week or so, or I can walk around with a pregnant belly for a week.

Our school has those.
But you have to put that class as an elective which I'm not going to do.
But they always seemed pretty cool and I'd like to do it at least once. =)

No. You wouldn't. I got 2 hours of sleep the night I had it. And I was sick. Not fun. But I wanted it too, before I heard how much sleep others got... lol... but I think I had one of the babies that had one of the worse settings- it was waking me up about once every 30 minutes.

We only had to keep ours for one night, and they didn't breathe- they just cried and cooed- we had to stick keys in it's back- is that what you had to do? We also had to keep a journal. I am so glad that that experience is over!

I know how annoying they are.
Me and a couple friends were in our FACS room which has the babies and we were, working on projects when it started crying.
We rocked it and everything since we had no idea what to do with them. It would not stop crying.
We finally found our teacher who had to find they key to put in it where it stops crying.
It was annoying, fun, and funny all at the same time.

Even through that I still want to do it once.

Vannah wow I've seen those pregnent bellies but have never seen someone actaully wear one...do many kids in your school pick that...or the egg?

And yeah leaving class was good...I had mine for 3 days 2 nights I think...the only really bad part was it sounded like a demon child when it cried at night...so that was scary.

I would have loved to have only had to keep a log. We had to do four papers (one each day), respond to a parenting article (total 5 papers at this point), and calculate the cost of having a baby for the first year of its life.

I was actually a big fan of the breathing because it only did it when it was sleeping. At least if you heard that noise, you knew you had awhile until you had to get up again.

2 hours? Dang! Friday night I got 9 hours and last night I got 6....but I chose to get 6 because I didn't feel like going back to sleep this morning and everyone else was up. :)

DEMON CHILD! I call mine Demon Child and Chuckie. :stir: lmfao My sister will go over to it and say "Hi Chuckie" with a big smile on her face(shes 8) and I will start cracking up and she's like "WHAT?! I like the name Chuckie!"

Oh wow! That really stinks! We just had to do a pre-quiz which I did like 2 months ago and we have to keep the diary and we have to fill out like 6 questions before we return it.

The breathing was just freaky. I don't really mind it. I too like it because I know it's asleep! lol
