We would never stay at BLT. It has lower and cheaper points for a reason.

Yes it was built before they really started raising the prices

Yes VGF is stunning but BLT has its charm as well even if it’s not your style.

I’d rather own at a location with a reasonable point chart and reasonable dues (like BLT) and 7 month into the more expensive point chart (VGF or PVB) when I can and want to, rather than have a home resort with a very expensive point chart. Better for last minute waitlist upgrades; you won’t be as likely to end up with points in holding.

I like VGF but I think you made a good choice with BLT. As you said pools aren’t great but for us an extra bathroom in the 1/2 bedrooms are priceless and can only be obtained here, Kidani and PVB at WDW. As an owner you grab the standard rooms which of course beat PVB point charts.

Oh yeah. That extra bathroom at BLT is a huge plus. Our two youngest had one bathroom and our 16 year old just claimed the bathroom in the “hallway”. There was no fighting and no arguing. Everyone could pretty much shower and use the bathroom as they pleased. Huge bonus.

Why did you buy BLT points direct instead of resale?

I wanted to get all the direct perks. I want to be able to use all my points at any future DVC resort and I wanted the same use year and didn't want to have to deal with a third party broker and RoFR. I bought two contracts 250 and 200 points in case I ever want to sell.
