Reading, seeing and hearing

Okay, so I am a post hog.

DD(7) needs a haircut. She wants something cute, easy to maintain, and that doesn't look so messy all the time, even right after we comb it. I hate combing/brushing her hair b/c all she does is complain that I am a mean mom who enjoys hurting little girls by getting knots out of her hair. We have tried everything. Conditioner helps, but we can't wash her hair everynight or she would be up too late and she needs her sleep.

So, here is what she looks like now (please don't copy the pic...it won't be up long). Any suggestions? (BTW, this was (Obviously) taken at Easter, right after brushing her hair...it's longer now)

My in-laws are moving to Georgetown (I guess it's north of Austin a bit?) the end of this month, and want us to come visit in August.

Now, I live in Nebraska, which may not sound hot, but it is - hot and humid - like July is 100 degrees with 100% humidity all 31 days of it. So I thought, hmmm, do I want to go SOUTH where it gets WARMER, or would I rather keep my sanity So I'm glad to have confirmation that Texas is hot as heck, too, so I have a good excuse.

Yes it is a little north of Austin, about 40 miles I think from down town. I live on the north side of Austin (so does spectrum and we still have never met, I gotta remedy that). I can get to Georgetown HS in 20 minutes (good friend teaches there).

If you do come you must let me know, we will have us a mini meet. Some place indoors.

So I went for some shopping therapy!

Got my color re-touched.. Fabo!

Stopped at B&BW and got some juniper breeze hand soap, cotton clean, and citrus basil... yummy!

Stopped at another store where I found an adorable pink eyelet jacket for 9.99 on the clearance rack. Ok normally, I not the eyelet type, but this jacket isn't frilly and it has something.. and that something said that it was illegal to leave it sitting on that rack with that price tag.

Gonna pair that pretty thing up with a cute T and some little sandals of some sort!
