I have been very busy lately. My friend's mom has been very sick for a long time, and her cancer has spread to her brain and bones. She has gone down hill very quickly, and unfortunately, the end is near. She has been in a coma for the last few days, and her respirations are VERY low. Needless to say, it has been a rough few weeks.
I have been taking my friend's kids as much as possible to help their days be as 'normal' as they can be in such a difficult time. So, in addition to my daily trips to the rink, the gym etc, I have extra kids with me, with their own set of "to do's" which adds to the stress. I am glad that I am able to give the kids an escape from the grief and sadness at their house right now, but I still feel so bad for my friend, her mom is her best friend, and this has been understandably hard for her.
Tomorrow is our Field Day (games day) at school, and I will be helping out for my DD(7) and DD(6) as well as filling in for my friend. So, I don't expect to be around too much in the near future, but I wanted to thank all my "cyber" friends for making me laugh when I've needed it most. It really means a lot.
