I'm sorry I lied......before I go.

Tink - you made me laugh out loud on this comment!!

:rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

Enjoy your lunch.

Okay, YaK. I just threw up in my mouth a liitle. I HATE okra!

Sorry ZZUB.

Sorry for not editing. Sorry for being a big black thundercloud.

Skaters change direction... and all that.

Listen... the reason I didn't do my TR chapter today is because I've been busy. And it's pretty funny. I think. So... I tell you.

Gotta write it down. BRB.

TTRS ~ My weiner has a first name it's...

BRB, Mel.

Jami ~ snot cry. Shhhhhh don't tell ZZUB.

In interesting day of reflection amongst this motley band of Vikings. So many warm, kind words, that it hard to believe that this many truly good, funny people randomly came together on an internet message board (and thank goodness for Al Gore for inventing it, right ZZUB?) I'm off right now for a couple of hours to watch my 6-year old daughter perform her cheerleading routine learned after only 1 week of camp (yeah, yeah, they start 'em early here in the South -- what can I say?) I had been viewing this as somewhat of a chore on this Friday afternoon, when I should be in the office working, but now, thanks to the thoughts conveyed here today, I'm sure I'll be watching with a big smile on my face, and a happy (and grateful) thought in my heart. 'Course if I see any balloons, I know I'm going to lose it, thanks to Mel, but that's a risk I'm willing to take. Y'all may be a bunch of nuts, but apparently, y'all fell from the same good tree.

But I know things have gotten too serious when MEL hasn't edited now. Twice.

Can we please get back to the funny?

TTRS and all that.

:car: And what the heck does this mean?

:dance3: (why i these spinning and washing their hair?)

i love this. the funny man makes 'em all cry, and the straight one makes em all laugh. now this, my friends, is sheer irony at its' best!

i hope pheremones can not be emitted through the internet. i want to be happy at the meet........ :smooth:

YAK, TG you posted veggies, all those carnivorous images were enough to make a food chain hating girl like me hurl often and hard......

:artist: chappie said early this morning he likes these and i have noticed they are popping up everywhere from this group, even on other threads. i love him (the artist) too. i was an art major and am crazy about art. but it also made me think of lil miss LALALALA!!!!!!!!! His canvas is blue, but he is definitely painting this YELLOW.....

GCAT! Hi Baby! Welcome back!!!!!!!!!!!!! :yay: will pm you later!
Melly, Jamal, MommyP :grouphug:

Z. I have no words.

Except to tell you that I have been meaning to ask you if you have ever heard the song 'Praise You in This Storm' by Casting Crowns. If you have never heard it, go. Right now. Download it and listen to it. Or wait till nobody else is around and listen to it. It's a very powerful song.

There is so much more I want to say to you right now but I think I will just tell you that although you don't forget, it does get better with time. There will still always be two days of the year that knock me sideways when I realize the date but the pain does ease with time.

Now, about that poster..... :furious:

La2:[/B] Thanks for restoring the Dole Whip pic. And thanks for the other things, too. I don't mean this in a weird way, but I heard Mississippi Girl on the radio the other day and it made me think of you. It made me smile. Yeah, it's strange having cyber friends. I don't admit it publicly, and neither should you, but I'm grateful for the people I've "met" on here. Y'all have been very yellow for me during a pretty grey time.

Well that made me smile. That you smiled. In not a weird way. And if I ever hear a song about a funny lawyer that claims to be a redneck even though he lives on the West Coast and uses the words Draconian and Repartee, I will think of you and smile too. In not a weird way.

Oh, and the siggie pic. Yeah. How could I NOT run and restore it with the guilt trip you laid on me the other day. Geez Man. You're worse than my Mom. But I did leave a lil' Epicot for you. Just a lil' one. So maybe instead of pullin' a full on ZZUB when you see it, you'll just pull a lil' ZZUB.

Now. Down to business.

DH has packed up the last of our stuff. Yep. The minivan is locked and loaded and we're headin out West. So I'll see you first thing Monday morning. I'll just get with Mel on directions to the office. Then I'll throw her out on her ear when I get there. Literally. Not figuratively. ;)

:moped:

I have a butt load of laundry to fold and then Chad and I are going to enjoy a nice hot(not like that) evening on the deck(with no shade or privacy anymore) with a couple of beers and hopefully some ordered pizza for dinner.

THEN I think it will be the perfect time to start working on him for the Poly. ;) Plus it might help if I pull out my bargaining tool. He wants a shot gun for his upcoming b-day...we put a $350 cap on it...he wants it to be more now...so hehe, agree to $500 just might help my case. :teeth:

See you later!

Seriously though. Most of the time I seem to be on ignore (maybe my dog flatulence stories were a little too.....something) anyway I just wanted all of you to know that when I say my prayers everynight (yes I still do that. call it an old catholic holdover (yes I am also of the Catholic persuasion).) I ask God to bless each and every one of you. I know that I lurk most times but I do like to read and laugh at some (not all cuz I still don't get the acronym thing) of the stuff that goes on here and over on the TR boards (I don't post there cuz I don't want anyone to get locked up).

Anyway just thought I'd let you know (still feeling like the red-headed stepchild).

I feel ya, Dana-dana-bo-bana. I've been here since the first Maelstrom, and I'm still pretty much just on the fringes. But with this group, even the fringe is fun!

BTW, for some reason, I want to rhyme your name with  even though its prolly Day-na.

I do a lot of this around here :lmao: with a smattering of :woohoo: and quite a bit of :surfweb: . Of course, sometimes I :badpc: and even feel a wee bit :sad2: but I make it a point to never, ever under any circumstances :dance3: and I only do this  to make Mel growl.

Are you feelin' the Maelstrom  yet?

I'm good with the Chicken but thanks anyway.

Another Random mindless posting. This photo cracks me up everytime I see it. I think thats a Dooney and Burke. :lmao:

I know we're trying to change directions back to the funny, but I just have to say...Horsey, ZZUB, and LaLa, the 3 of you never cease to amaze me with your straight-to-the-heart observations. You always say so well what we are all feeling about life, our families, and yes, our wonderfully special-in-a-kinda-weird-way cyber friends. And THEN, Melly shares her wonderful thoughts in such a sweet way, and JAMI!! What a beautiful post. And so, so, so true. I was thinking....I've got to show these couple of pages to my DH. He needs to understand how special everyone here is. Maybe then he'll think I'm a little less crazy for spending so much time with y'all. Look, I'm a life long Massachusetts resident, and you have me saying Y'ALL!!

And now, back to the fun....

No, MommyP, she's referring to our beloved Al Gore, inventor of the internet and savior of the planet. And ZZUB's very favorite divinity school drop-out. Although, I'd take Hilary over the shrub any day. Okay, okay, I know she's a controversial topic with people...but, really, anything would be an improvement at this point........

Oh and Mommy, you may want to do a little editing:

Don't know that there's more than one way to enjoy a nice "ho". :rotfl2:

Yes, but HIS Dooney isn't hot pink ostrich leather!

Okay.

So.

It's Big Garbage Day here today in our neighbourhood. Which means you can throw out everything from old washing machines to old swingsets to old mattresses. Whatever. Big stuff. Little stuff. Even old red velour sectionals. If you have taste. But it also means that it's Big Shopping Day for all the garbage pickers in town and from the rural areas. Yep. They drive into town with pickup trucks especially for this. Garbage shoppers. Now... no offense or disrespect is intended here for the hooP family. Or MommyP. Heh heh. The silly 'ol bear DID need saving and, well, Mommy and family needed a yacht. I think.

So guess what I added to the happyhaunt heap 'o craptastic bargoons on the curb? Yep. The dirty, old, warped, peed on immortal vampiric stroller from the depths of the hot place. Bye bye birdie!!!! I was feelin' pretty good. Then I noticed all the shoppers driving by. They were takin' everything. EVERYTHING. Except our BLASTED STROLLER. Then I started feeling offended. For some reason. I watched car after car go by. I made coffee and sat by the front window and watched the poor stroller NOT get picked up. So after the older kids went off to school I grabbed Tommy and we jumped in the smelly old van and took off. To do a little shopping of our own. Around the neighbourhood. I went looking for uglier, older, dirtier strollers. And...it was hard. But I thought I found one. I slunk out of the van. Popped the hatch and, looking left and right for the fellow school mom volunteers, snatched it and ran. Then I left it outside and proceeded to watch through the window. Guess what? Someone took it. Not OURS, mind you, but the OTHER ONE!!! Couldn't believe it. Tommy and I headed out again. Ten minutes of driving to find another, I thought, worse looking one. Steal it. While feeling really embarrassed. I think. Heh, heh. Brought it home and left it out. Gone in 60 seconds. Well... not really. Longer. And, btw, that was a CRAPPY movie. FYI. The point is: it was taken. For whatever reason. I felt so bad. For our old ugly peep on warped stroller. So I grabbed it back off the curb and put it back in the garage. But... now... I'm heading outside to go sit on the porch and enjoy the rest of the day. And to make sure someone doesn't think our VAN is up for grabs.

I'm scared.

Heh heh

LYMI, Mellymel.

Hey Ed....that looks more like a Kate Spade than a Dooney.
It's almost a MAXX NY, but not quite.

Tha cat looks mad.....real mad. There is nothing worse than a ticked off kitty.

PolyJenJen.....I also need to know what type of bag you want. Do you want Monogram Canvas, Murakami, Denim, what???

Gucci, Coach, LV only, can I have some hints....cause I have some stuff in mind.
