I am waiting for the exterminator. Seems I have bats in my chimney and my third floor, and they are knocking on the door to get into the 2nd floor.

I may have to sell off Pooh's leg to pay for this. I still need mine.

Not trying to be a downer -

Sher & Ash - I definitely keep a check on things when it comes to my skin. I had a doctor who, come to find out, practiced very aggressive medicine and cut me up like he did to prevent anything progressing further. I had deep cuts and stitches - wasn't a whole lot of fun. I used to lay out with baby oil or Hawaiin Tropic tan amplifier (you know the one that has 0 spf). I hit the tanning beds off and on for a couple of years too. My husband's stepfather was diagnosed with Melanoma a few years ago and four months later, he was dead. It is scary. Sooooo, my tanning habits changed quite a bit (which is why I am all about spray tans now.) A word of advice to all of you - keep a good check on yourself and if something looks suspicious, get it looked at. k?!


Speaking of the Hawaiin Tropic oil...I found some in the store last week and I opened up and just sniffed the heck out of it. I love that smell. I immediately had to go to the candy aisle and purschase an Almond Joy.

That's why I'm all about the tan-in-a-bottle and the spray on. Or I was all about the spray-on (in theory) until I was told that it would be a pain with chlorine. Downer.

Very early on in my career, before I retired to a desk job and the strenous effort of trying to provide educational opportunities to folks that already have lived way longer and know way more than I, was working in surgery for a local, highly reputable dermatologist. Literally people came from all over the state to see him. Local TV personalities too. I know first hand the devastation of skin cancer. All cancers. I am sincerely sorry you went through that experience.
