Victory is mine! Victory is mine! Great day in the morning, victory is mine. Bring me the finnest muffins and bagels (but no ham sandwiches) in all the land.

Succeeded in getting plaintiff's case dismissed with prejudice. I won't bore you with all of the details but after more than three years of work on this one file, I got it dismissed. My client is hugely happy and I am hugely relieved. The defense strategy was all mine so there would have been no cover if it went south. Gratefully, everything went well.

Until I came here.

I'd ask what happened here but, well . . .

Glad someone took the initiative to start a new thread.

Congrats ZZUB.

On the victory and on finding us. FINALLY. Geez. Mel almost went into convulsions waiting on you to show up. We were about to set up a support group.

I can't remember who (I think it may have been Chapter 11) who recommended we pick up Disney Sorry. I took my daughter out for a date Tues night and after dinner we went and picked up that game. She cleaned our clocks. Well, I reckon it helped that we were helping her. She's the new Sorry champion of the Zzub home. She reminded me last night that I was a "loooooser." Nice. I'll remember that when she wants a college education.

But have you taught the girl the Victory Dance?

Lala: the partners have asked me to convey to you our displeasure with the complete waste of post-it notes. Paper doesn't grow on trees, you know. ;)

Send the bill to Chappie. He's an attorney. He's loaded.

You had me at Draconian. You had me at Draconian. ;)

That is just wrong, wrong, wrong. Those animals are innocents. Babies, and do not need to be permanently psychologically wounded. Plus think of the readers. Have you no regard for their mental health? :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Is this the Equus of which you speak?.......

Shaffer was inspired to write Equus when he heard of a crime involving a teenage boy's apparently senseless injury to horses. He set out to construct a fictional account of what might have caused the incident, without knowing any of the details of the crime. The play is essentially a detective story, with the psychiatrist trying to understand the cause of the boy's actions while wrestling with his own sense of purpose.

Actually, this just sounds like a typical day's posts between Horsey and me. :p

Today I had the windows down and the stero blasting Springsteen. I had the motorcycle guys turning around to see who was coming... it was a fastpass and a lovely day!

Did any of you guys ever see the comedian who does the bit where he talks about NJ trying to make this the official state song? Then he plays it on the piano, and sings each line....the bolded part comes....and he makes this face. Very funny. My husband and oldest son are HUGE Springsteen fans. I think of that comedy routine everytime I hear that song.....

Hi my Maelstroming friends! I am so glad that horseygirlie started this new thread and I have to admit that I have been trying to say the required phrases as I was reading, but every time I tried, it just came out The Maelstrom. Is a FASTPASS!!!

Thanks to all who have given shoutouts, be that specifically to me OR the blanket kind of shout out to all.

Mel, did you do a head count? Are we all here? Do we need to send out a search party?

Now, so that I don't stray off of the thread topic, I have given my favorite books, now to my current tv selection. I have recently become addicted to spices, no, not really, but I borrowed season 1 of LOST from my sister and let me tell ya, Man did I miss out! This show rocks!!!

Maelstrom!

I know, I know.
By now you're thinking "just who is this sdy person??"
But I couldn't resist. Well, I could but I didn't.
And Mel (may I call you Mel?) liked my Clooney story. She said so herself.
And Horsegirl is nice and pretty. That bears mentioning again.

Sooo, without further ado...

This is for you, javamom (pleased to meet ya), et. al.

BORN TO RUN(ish)

Ah, as I'm a repeat crasher I suppose I should do my part to keep this thread on topic. Try Toni Morrison's BELOVED. The book, not the movie. Do yerself a favor and heed my advice.
After reading (not watching), decompress by watching A HARD DAY'S NIGHT starring my beloved Beatles. Yum.

thought of another couple that also have great movies

Joy Luck Club by Amy Tan

and

How to make an american quilt- by Whitney Otto

:)

Now I am intrigued. I love a good mystery. Who is this masked(ish) (wo)man?

Just wanted to pop in to say hey. We are headed out of town - just me and my honey with another couple. No kids!! :thumbsup2

Hope everyone has a great weekend - be safe and if you are in the south, STAY COOL!!! I am already tired of the heat. It will be a long summer.

Shout out to Sheridac for all my love yesterday -

Sdy, we are not bats or opposums. You must stop dropping by at ungodly hours, unless you live down under. Then i suppose you have no other choice. :teeth:

You need to know, I grew up in Bruce's hometown. Yup, Asbury Park is where it all started for both of us. I am cwazy, cwazy, cwazy about his music. Secondly, my parents went to a Beatles concert when I was 5. If you haven't looked already at my profile, some of us at least give a couple of hints about ourseleves, and that will tell you how early in their career that was. Beatles are my first love. Always have been and always will. So I am pretty sure you like Austin Powers, and your use of the written word is quite fine, and you know how to introduce yourself politely to a new group of folks. So for the love of partycrashers, you are not stalking! Consider yourself welcome here, as everyone else is.

Now

Maelstrom....................

is a FASTPASS Horsey!

Good morning all readers, writers, watchers, listeners and stromers! I will undertake individual shout-outs this morning, as I haven't done those in at least a week:
Mel, Horsey, PP, Haley, Rhonda, Jami, Pongogirl, NM, LaLa, Frickles, SherSher, Tink, Em'sMom, Jave, Ash, PMM, KimmiePoo, YAK, ODG, S-T, 2IAB, Grammy, DMM, MP(even though you're still at the Poly darn it), and all the riddlers who sometimes come to visit.
Lou, Ed, Joe, MG, Mark, hooP, JW, Chappie, ZZUB

and to the newcomer SDY, you're not a stalker.

I don't know who I missed, but I'm sure you'll let me know. Soon and often. Sheesh.
