I think a sufficient amount amount of time has passed that I might say to Miss Taskmaster......

FLAGGED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cheese in grits, triple yuk. I need sherbert to cleanse my palette, pronto.

Stop saying patootie, I might get addicted to this place.....again. :teeth:

Grits AND eggs benedict make a fabulous couple. And. Yankee grocers would rather fill up their shelves with cream of paste, er, wheat. . .and they wouldn't know a grit if it bit them in the patootie!

You probably eat your grits with a fine chianti.....ewwww.

Yankee grocers DO stock grits. I've seen them. On the waaaaay top shelf, in the gray box. Oh wait, the BOX isn't gray ... it's just the DUST because it's the token grit box and NObody buys them.

Cream of Wheat rocks. With reeeeeeeeal maple syrup, and a little smidge of cream.

Love me some eggs bennie, too. (Now. That I like poached eggs. )

HI All!

Way back.......

tink - you story was too funny. :rotfl2:

Kimmie:
And apparently she believes Disney is out to get her?
and this too..... :rotfl2: :rotfl2: DH believes this too, in a different way!

nicolemarie: Hey girlfriend!

Steph - hope you're all feeling better! Here's some :dance3: for you!

Borg Sher - on the grits. I really like them too. But no cheese. Plain. I like to dunk sausage in them.

Amy - now I'm curious as to what you decided on the crocs. Clown shoes yes, but my kids love them! YAJ - but no pink/orange for Jack.

Horsey - grits and grog..... :rotfl:

Have a good one kids.....

Catch y'all tonight :sunny:

Good morning all! Glad to see the hilarity abounds . . .

On Grits ~ if anyone ever goes to vacation on Edisto Island (SC), there was (I hope still is) a FABULOUS little place called the Post Office Restaurant. (Strangely, the building used to be a post office.) It is the only place that I have ever had grits that I liked. A LOT. They were divine. I imagine it is what Rhonda's mom's grits taste like. Yummmmmmmmmm.

All other grits, so far, just haven't done it for me. Or cream of wheat. Or oatmeal (when made in a bowl and mushy). I believe it is because of the consistency. Can everyone say "gruel" with me? What's appetizing about that?

So, everyone in favor of crocs (I am leaving those opposed to crocs out of the equation entirely) seem to be about evenly split on the baby blue vs. navy. I really would prefer navy, but I'm not sure I'm willing to pay an extra $14 for navy vs. baby blue. I need to make a decision. Soon. Before the sales end. And the online coupon codes expire.

NM ~ I am uber-said to have missed out on the crocs. Just sadin'.

Get wells to all who need it. And thoughts and prayers also, in the appropriate situation. You all know who you are.

Bring the funny people!

true, dat. you stole my dramatic attempts at extremism. Okay, I will admit, I actually like grits, and cream of wheat and cream of rice. I would be happy to be on slop living in the big brother house as long as I had plenty of cream and sugar and maple syrup, not Mrs. Butterworth's.....

I just like to be contrary. My name should be Mary....but it ain't. :smooth:

Where do you think this guy goes at night while the guests are asleep?

BTW, I'm from NY and we don't eat anything that looks like wallpaper paste no matter what you Southerners say.

You posted that for me, right baby? What a nice image to have under my last post. How about the clown with the spastic hand, huh? Pretty please? with sugar and cream, not cheese on top?

Sleepsnoopypuppypal is so cheap that he purchases the inferior grits and tries to get a free ride whenever he can. Get off me dog!

Okay, so most of my disney prep is done, kids school supplies and clothes are purchased, one horse is sold and the house is clean. You people all hound me to come back, and I do and none of you are here? What the patootie? Eyeore. Hello. Yes I love BB. What can I say, I am a shrink! People fascinate me if they aren't dull......And I think I know what the more laundry club is and I want to join..... but baby, you got a typo....Malstrom. I have to be the editor, as our resident editor, server kicker and slaphappy recipient jumped ship.....

People what do I have to do, go to a dadgum blog? and tinky, I think I get the spoon reference, but not the rest of it....I am ernie out of it, as ususal.

My dearhorseybabygirlfriend,
Welcome back! I am jumping out of lurking and drive by posting to try to edumacate you.

First, some of the Vikings blog. Some blog alot. Some of us blog because the Taskmaster (sorry Sher!) beats us if we don't. Some blog instead of posting here, which is a violation of Maelstrom Charter that no one seems to enforce.
Our Ga Cat is the rulekeeper and will get to work on that after she finishes working, raising two babies, making unbelievable costumes for her own kids and Viking babies, and making t-shirts for the craftless. She also faithfully brings the funny and kind here.

We still laugh out loud and care when another hurts. We are all fired up for Pongo's wedding and sending her mucho amore and pixie dust.

We can't wait to go to Disney World. At all. We are dyin' here.

We still read each other's trip reports even if we have to find them on page two. We still take forever to finish our trip reports.

We are still afraid of Lou and the clowns. We still treasure blessings and words of wisdom from Da Rev Marky and our new minister La(c)toberg and his wife Dre.

We are still a big group of friends with welcoming arms for newbies.

We are mourning and celebrating back-to-school in the South this week. Some of us are pretty melancholy about the return to routine and giving the best part of our babies' days to the classroom.

This is still our (my) favorite :dance3: and this is a FHOAM :moped:

This is still Grammy :smokin: :stir: :moped: :badpc:

The server is still frickin' (sorry Frick!) slow, especially at lunchtime when Maelstromers stop posting long enough to double post.

This is still Pooh  because she likes it.

Mel
still hates this  and we think that's why she doesn't come over here much anymore. She is afraid of the dancing banana. She is still the queen of the funny on trip reports.

We still do this :grouphug: , especially for Sid this week.
We still say...
Maelstrom...

OOoh jam! Thanks, that was a good recap! Now you forgot to add that Sheridac is also FLagmaster, which if she were here, would do so now. to you. i am certain. so flagged, babygirl........

I must get off this boat......and I think the blogsters must come here....too. It is only fair.

I miss Hoopiedoopiedoo. Pooh too. Pooh my angel, I am sending you something in the snailmail.....something special for downstairs, from me to you....my movietwinbaby.....

Hurry horseybaby!! The Flagger is ALWAYS watching!!!!!!!!!!!

horseybabyponypoodleywoodleygirl~
Man, you were tearing things up this morning. Really. Loved it!
I'm here, but prepping for court tomorrow, so actually have some stuff to do today. In and out. Often, probably.
Jam~ I loved the recap. Wonderful. I really am going to get to work on that rule book. (Is the Maelstrom chant the first rule, or editing? I think editing is actually second. Sorry Sher.)
Pongolove
~ still thinking about you! Enjoy yourself!

Last edited by GeorgiaAristocat : Today at 10:00 AM. Reason: I'm a blog lurker. I like it here better, because it's prettier. So, I kind of understand the jokes, sometimes. And I REALLY don't understand why we have to misspell everything. (Snarky, sorry!)
Borg, my sister GA. I do like the misspelling, though. I'm all about helping Haley.
