I never claimed to be a superyduperysecretagent type. I thought it was some sort of Southern thing. (Like grits.) :rotfl:
Hey now! Don't be pickin' on my grits! Here's a brief anecdote along the same lines.
Me: Why don't you like grits?
Doc: Because they have no taste.
Me: Sure they do!
Doc: Only when you add something besides butter, salt, and pepper. . .say maybe cheese.
Me: Their taste is subtle, I agree. But, they do have a good taste.
Doc: Not unless you add something!
Me: And what do YOU like to eat?
Doc: Cream of wheat. . .
Me: :confused3

MinnieMoo: Washington state makes some really good wines, but I don't know of any in particular that don't contain sulfites. You might be able to google it, though.

The fact that you question my tastes in wine (and "I'm not a swill drinker" times infinity plus one) shows just what taste you are saidly lacking, just sadin'. Besides, I done got a well good edumakashun from where I was once a'schoolin'.

the smallest of the small. The smallest they make, which is 6/7 toddler. No local stores carry them that small, I have resorted to the internet. If you have some local sources, I would LOVE for you to check for me!!! I would really prefer Navy.

On a side note, I was going to get the light blue for myself. I didn't know if it would be CUTE for the boy and I to match, or WIERD.

I guess the hubby might find it a little wierd. Huh. And he said definitely no to ballet for the boy last night. But okay'd soccer, eventually, or baseball.

Girl!!

I am trying to catch up on this thread. Not there yet, but came to this. I just MONDAY gave away my little man's size 6/7's. IN NAVY. You should have emailed me!!!!

Everyone else - I am enjoying the catch up process. I just hope my kids don't wake up anytime soon because I have MANY more pages.

Here comes one now...I'm out.

I am so frickin (sorry Frick) crazed. I think yesterday was the FIRST day in about a year that I didn't get onto the Internet AT ALL (excepting vacations). Work is crazy. Home is crazy (party prep).

But I DID get to talk to our Pongobride yesterday. She FINALLY answered her frickin (sorry Frick) phone!!!! She is such a cutie! And barely has any southern accent, IMO. Unlike SOME people :teeth:

S-T, that clueless message from your friends just cracked me up!!!

Steph, FEEL Better! The toothbrush hint is a good one, if you didn't already do it. That's the first thing they told us when strep was running rampant in my house (right before our 1st WDW trip!!)

Lou, loving the live pics. Haley, thanks for the reminders!

POOH!!! So happy to see you. You were missed.

Tink, that is FOFF (sorry, again, Frick)!! :rotfl: Guess you don't have to worry about him!! On second thought....maybe you do!!!

Amy, hope your Croc woes are solved. Personally, I don't see the problem with baby blue on a 2 year old boy. Guess that's just me :confused3 That being said, no one in my family will ever be caught dead in Crocs, me included. (HA!! Imagine Jay in Crocs...think they sell size 15????!!!!)

Hi to everybody else. Will be running around crazy again today. See you later tonight.

Morning Peeps-

Sid baby, I am catching up with the thread and saw your post. oh sweetness, life is so painful. Marky did speak beautifully, good thing his contacts didn't steam up...heavenly!

I agree with Ash about the baby blue crocs for a 2 year old. I have to admit Jack wanted purple though and I steered him towards navy blue....but for a two year old, any color is fine! Go for it amy, who gives a hootie what anyone thinks....even Lou.

Pongo baba- 2 more days! Holy matrimony, got any jitters?

Cream of wheat is much better than grits. SleepdillyD probably prefers grits as they are cheaper...

Whew!

Ya'll have been busy!!

Grammy - I am still DYING over your story. I can't even picture how funny that probably was. You hottie - everyone loved you after that, huh? That's hysterical!!

YAJ - I love your hair straight. And it's pretty curly, also. So you can go with either. But the curls give you a slight height advantage with the Mr.

MG!!! - You ARE tall!! And ya'll are a lovely couple.

Sid - So sorry about your friends. Life just stinks sometimes. I know you will be a source of comfort for them.

Mark - Your words were perfect. And wise. And caring. Thanks.

Rhonda - Hey there! Stop in on me sometime - the kids head back to school Monday. You can find me here. At my computer!!

YAK - I have some catching up to do on your TR. I've gotten throught the GA meet. I loved your accent in words!!

Pooh - How are ya? And how is Hoop?

Horsey - Come back!!!!

Steph - I just booked CP for Thanksgiving weekend at Le Cell. It's gonna be brutal crowds, I'll bet. But we got a CHEAP AP rate at AKL. I hope you'll write a TR about Christmas at the Mouse.

Tink - Did I miss the outcome of your Dr. visits? Do you have a solution? And that story about the phone call - that's funny. I can't wait for a little hoochie to try that crap on my boy. You handled it well.

KPK - Wow! That teacher sounds like a good one. Taking the time to get to know each student. That's awesome.

Spectrum T - There is nowhere to start with folks like that. There just isn't. We have some friends who have asked me to help them plan their first trip. The didn't even know there are 4 theme parks. I gave them the allears website and said "Read that and get back to me."

Pongo - MANY, MANY, CONGRATULATIONS!!! Hope you have a wonderful weekend and lovely wedding. We want pics!!

Haley - I'm pretty sure I have figured out the commentary on Mel's TR. Even though I didn't get any sun. If I'm correct - poor Mr. Silly. He had no idea, did he?

Finally SHER - Leave Sleepydog alone!! And the flagging - enough already!!!

There is no way to address you all - but I wanted to say hello. School starts for us on Monday and I look forward to a little more DISin' then.

Ya'll take care...

Rhonda...I haven't finished catching up, but I had to weigh in to say that it starts MUCH sooner than you think...

DS is 5. He has his first crush. On an OLDER woman. She is 15. And a good sport. He wrote her a "letter" on which he drew a heart, and colored it in. In the lines. This is not something he does often (the in the lines part - it seems he has too much other stuff to do to be bothered with coloring- like waging war on ants etc.). In fact, even though I knew he could color in the lines, he so rarely does it that I was shocked when I saw it.

She wrote him back (thinks he is adorable) and included a picture of himself. Now, he never leaves home without it.

That's sweet. I think. Yikes!!

See, this is why I don't like the personal shouting. I always forget someone. Not that they care, but it always makes me feel bad.

Hey 2IAB!!

And I just saw that little nugget by Backstage Gal - I love me a good Clinton joke!! :sunny:

Horsey, you know I LY/MI, but I must beg to disagree. I have eaten both, grits and cream of wheat. I used to not be able to stand grits as a matter of fact. I grew up on cream of wheat. The only grits I'd ever eaten were the kind in the school cafeteria, where you could stick your fork in them and pick up the whole block - know what I mean?

Then I met Rhonda. And went to her mom's house. As much as I have to say about her mom, the woman has mad skillz when it comes to cooking grits. The first time Wesley had her grits (cheese grits I might add) he ate 5 firckin' (sorry firck) bowls of cheese grits.

I think all the yankees just don't know how to cook grits. In fact, there's a bunch of southerners that don't know how to cook cheese grits.

But oh my. Rhonda's mom's cheese grits rock the Firckin' (sorry Firck) house. HARD.

Blessings!

Hey Mark!!

First things first.

Did you get my gift??? I think I sent it to Rhonda's phone though, so you'll have to check with her.

Second things second.

Actually. I am a huge fan of grits, believe or not. Love them, in fact!!!

Hey, a quarter saved is a quarter earned!
MarkyMark: Thanks for protecting my six. What you said is true: if you haven't had grits properly prepared, they can be pathetic. HOWEVER, I DO know how to make them. . .and cheesy grits are the best. Glad you came over to the "dark" side.
Sher: Good thing you changed my name, 'cause I was gonna blow the whistle! And nice catch by the by. . .

Blessings!

Oh, you had to go and mention cheese??? eewww!!!

And.

I know!! My only excuse is not enough coffee this am. Of course it was Bubba!

Last edited by horsegirl : Today at 08:42 AM. Reason: grits are so appalling that yankee grocers do not put em on the shelves. mai tai say eggs bennie is the way i would start my day? lymi too mm...
Grits AND eggs benedict make a fabulous couple. And. Yankee grocers would rather fill up their shelves with cream of paste, er, wheat. . .and they wouldn't know a grit if it bit them in the patootie!
