After Max' sleepover was delayed (since we were going to Six Flags Fiesta Texas in the morning), Max picks up camera, points it at itself, shoots picture.

The kids have had their Friday night pizza. Check.

They are getting into their jammies as we speak. Check.

Dh is stopping at the grocery and the liquor store on the way home for stuff to make nachos and margaritas. Double check check!!!!!!

Of course he is anticipating some sort of "date night" . So I'll have to be crafty to handle both the date night (movie and nachos) and the wine not whine party.

Picture the scene in Mrs. Doubtfire where Robin Williams is trying to have dinner with the family as Mrs. D. AND conduct a business meeting as himself.

Except I'm younger and (hopefully) cuter than Mrs. Doubtfire.

Ok, we just got back from the store.
He is out grilling veggies and some sausage.
We also picked up two bags of doritos. No lie. I am eating some now. Cool Ranch to be exact. Nacho cheese ones later.
I also picked up a six pack of Captain Morgan Parrot Bay Sunset Surf drinks. THey are the news ones that I have seen on tv. We also bought a 12 pack of Saranac Beer...thier summer blend. 2 each of 6 different types of beer that they have.
So perhaps if Andy works on the house later, I will be all in for the par-tay

OMG!!! Dh just got back from the store.

He did NOT get stuff for margaritas. He got champagne, Bailey's, kahlua, chambord, AND hpnotiq. Which is some newfangled French liqueur, I guess. It says on the bottle it's the "elixir of life."

Makes me feel like I should take before and after photos. Probably should, either way. Because he got TWO bottles.

Sounds like maybe we should have one of those travelling parties. What is it called again? Where you go to one house for apps, then other for next course, etc.

That was one of my favorite logic puzzles at one time, and now I cant remember what it's called...

So we are having budget review on Thursday, 9-11 (time). Going to lunch after, and then we were debating what to do after lunch. Movie was mentioned, but that is not very social. So, someone mentioned getting a villa for a gathering, but not sure what to do. So I thought of the "telling funny stories" idea. Served with ice cream. Not set in stone yet, but I like the idea, thanks! (10 people, there should be SOME funny stories)

Drebert, I am the least health concious person on earth! I recommended those things for flavor!!! Not that there is anything wrong with pizza or popcorn (as long as it's not microwave, yuck!), and I'll go with ice cream any day, chocolate with hot fudge and LOTS of whipped cream, please.

Oh, PLEASE make the popcorn beFORE I get there. And open the windows to air out the smell! I have an aversion to the smell of popcorn. I've been that way ever since I was pregnant with Richard!

Marita, I'll bring the dip. What kind would you like? Guacamole? Rotel and cheese? Salsa?

Hypnotique. I've seen that at the liquor store. Let me know what it tastes like. Elixir of life? Give me a break. It reminds me of that Niagra stuff they had out a few years ago. Supposed to make women...ummn...well, you know.

No radio, yet, Jen. I've been searching for that stupid Cinderella commercial for Zzub for 3 hours now. Put a fork in me. I'm done.

BTW. My brother called me for my birthday today. Acted like he was doing me a huge favor. Yeah, thanks. BUTTHEAD. I told him I was pregnant.

Hee hee, I've got plenty for the before AND after-dinner drinks.

Tried the hpnotiq (hello with the bizarre spelling? Reminds me of this girl Seuzan I used to know). It is sweet and citrusy, and a bit syrupy in consistency. I don't think I care for it on its own. We're going to mix it with seltzer water or champagne. Right, champagne.

The color is great. Blue. Pretty.

Come over while it's chilled!

I just got back from dinner. Italian. And I had NO pasta. But I did have 1/2 a Bomba for dessert. Yum.

I can't think of any funny stories right now. But I will. Glad to see we have such a good turnout for the party. Do we dare hope that even the elusive AMY will turn up? That would really be special No falling asleep with the kids, Amy!!! (BTW, good summary. But, no, I don't think I posted any pics recently. Pongo, Tink and NM all did, tho.)
