Ok, I decided to switch to Cingular b/c Verizon ticked me off for the last time. Unfortunately, we are not off to a good start at all with Cingular. I just got an email from them stating that my hubby's phone is on backorder.

Steph has Ceeengular!!!! And lilbabysis Sid!!!

Watch out girls!!!!! I talk on the phone MORE than I type!!!!

OMG!!!

I am an early morning loser!!!

But. I can't go to the cememtery since it decided to OPEN UP THE HEAVENS AND POUR DOWN BUCKETS OF RAIN ON ME!!!

And so. Now I am awake. And bored.

Horsey, you and Dawg (I like that one, Sid) are speaking yet another language. I think it's called gibberish. I consider myself pretty smart, but you guys lost me pages ago.
Linktywop dowwow chacwump = gibberish. What horsey and I share is code, i.e., fancy gibberish.

I know that edit wasn't for me, sleepdoggydog, but it has meaning for me at this time anyway.....and

"Don't grieve, Admiral. It is logical. The needs of the many outweigh... "

" ...the needs of the few."

How appropos this is pour moi.

Star Trek, Wrath of Khan, baby, loved it. Star wars? Not so much...but something about vulcanite pointed ears, and primary colored polyester space outfits did it for me....
In general, my edits are for the general audience, especially you horsey. Yes, indeed, STII: TWOK. That scene still brings a bit o' mist to my eyes, even as I'm wondering why Shatner's hair piece looks different every other scene. Ahh, but the big tear-jerking moment happens a few scenes later: "Of all the souls I have known in my travels, his was the most. . . . .human. . ." I need a hankie.

Hi Lacto and Dawg, I don't think we met officially, I am more in chat than on the board. You both are very funny. Welcome!!!
Thanks BG! I've received such a warm welcome here unlike the five countries where I've been banned. I can't speak for berg (yes, I've given you my own name to avoid the "c or not to c" confusion), but after a gentle invite from a couple of nutwings, and after perusing this thread for a short time (lurking seems too pernicious of a term), I concluded that someone needed to bring some sanity to the proceedings. Here am I. As for the TV name, call it OC. 'Cause if you have to use it, you're sure gonna be saying "Oh, crap!"

Ha!! I saw that, D!!

I have never met a Shiraz I liked. Or a Merlot for that matter. Is all I'm saying.

Also, his name is LACTO!!! LACTO!!! Henceforth and forevermore.
Learn it.
Live it.
Embrace it.

And.

Did you know if I abbreviated your name to SD, it would still mean swill drinker to me??? :teeth:

It appears the two of us have the stage at this point unless folks are lurking, so I shall have to respond, my honor being impugned and all.

You've simply never been introduced to a GOOD shiraz or merlot. If the ones you drink have kangaroos or leaves or the words ARBOR or MIST in the title, that's a bad, bad thing.

Berg. Forevermore. . .henceforth. . .forthwith. . .sha-la-la-la-la. . .

Got no come back unless I can conjure a way to come up with something for sheridac. . .and I will. . .

Of course, you are NOT referring to my beloved AlGore, I am quite sure!!

No, but he could've been one of the original characters in The Wizard of Oz:
Lion needed courage
Scarecrow lacked a brain.
Tin Man wanted a heart.
Gore is searching for a personality.

Just sayin'. Keep in mind I've met the man. . .

Don't dis my precious!!!!!! You can have your "fine" wine. But NOT my beloved AlGore!!!!

..I see. Sher and Dawg, we know you love each other. Wine, coffee with cream, and screw tops notwithstanding. So, play nice. Or get a room. Whatever.

Well, it looks like it continued to be quiet last night. Sorry I missed Amy before she left for the beach. I had such big plans to spend quality time with my computer last night, but had some technical difficulties. Then fell asleep really early. Oh well.

Steph, sorry for your consumer troubles. Marita, I'm not sure how I would react to "my love" from a woman behind the counter, but I'm with 'berg, what bugs me is the "ma'am" stuff from young men. Rhonda, happy for you that VBS is over. Eat healthy for a change, will ya? And pass along any of your good, healthy recipes.

Pongo, I look forward to hearing how the big day went. Hope you had fun and Andy treated you like a princess. (Well, seems he always does, but, y'know, even more....)

Chris, sorry you have buckets of rain (but not really, because I refuse to feel sorry for anyone who can fit into a size 4). It is going to be a lovely day today here. I plan to be a pool potato (as opposed to a coach potato...does that work???) aaaalllllll weekend.

TTYL. Happy Saturday!

Well, holy crap!!!

Do I need to do a mass intervention here????

IT'S LACTO!!!!!!!

OMG! I am missing so much here with my "cutting back on the computer" bit. Wah! But that's neither here nor there.

I just wanted to say hi to you all! I had requested a synopsis a while back, but my skimming has revealed that Paslea Pooh, synopsizer extraordinaire is out of commission with the no power and the no phone and no computer. So I will attempt to jump back in and just go from there.

My washing machine has (apparently) been talking to the appliances at the Chap 11 household, and has decided to join them at their junk-heap jamboree. The new one is coming tomorrow, but meanwhile I am living in a heap of mess. And quaking with fear that one of the kids will get sick and I'll have puke mess with no way to clean it. But so far the vomit gods are smiling on me. Knock on wood.

And it is SO HOT here! We are cowering inside, with the AC.

Lato - I don't know if I have said this already (the past week is a little fuzzy), but I viewed the link of your post on MarkyMark's whinefest thread. I'm very glad you decided to jump in. And even more glad that you decided to stay! (And I visited the blog, too, but only to see where you were posted, since we have an Andrews UMC less than 3 miles from my house and THAT would have been just TOO freaky.)

GA - Thanks, I feel warmly welcomed, even if I have developed a milk intolerance since joining. And there's something you have to understand, UM's are EVERYWHERE. It is interesting that there is a Andrews UMC. One of my best friends and mentors just became pastor of a St. Andrews church. That was freaky.

So which is it????

In sheriworld it is LACTO. Since I barely made it through Greek history, and the only Latvian I know was Latka (I think he was Latvian, but there was Dr. Doom who was Latverian which was a thinly veiled use of Latvia), the technical spelling would be la.to.berg

And thanks for dropping by the blog - both of you.

Javamom - :wave2: - KS used to be my motherland

sheridac & dog - now, now don't fight. please I'm big enough for both of you to be right. That's why I drink skim milk sheri. We save 2% for the kids and special treats. - Oh yeah. I don't drink milk. I have a lacto problem.

Point of clarification. D and I enjoy our bickering. Just sayin'. Besides, he KNOWS I am right!!!!
