Guess what.
It is raining.
We got no sun at all today.

I hope it finishes raining so we can light off our fireworks.

Bah.

Rain, rain, go away.

Back to page one.... :thumbsup2

Haley we had a storm roll in this afternoon, hail and all and now it is so hot!!!

Whew - Drive by post..........to see if y'all remember me????

:moped:

HAPPY 4th OF JULY TO OUR FRIENDS TO THE SOUTH!!!

Went to 'rents for the weekend. Kiddies had good bonding time with Grandma and Grandpa. I caught up with some OLD highschool friends.

I've been lurking when I get 5 minutes so fairly caught up.

Was reading the Dan Murphy posts yesterday for a bit.......interesting. I'm an "old timer" here (I think) and I wouldn't worry about what's going on. We are a welcoming community. I really don't think all the "brew-ha-ha" had much to do with us (I only read up until last night) but our "shout out" threads were a casualty of that drama. And so it goes....

So keep your spirits up Maelstromers! Be yellow! (or Red, white and blue today!) And borg.........or whatever that new Star Trek expression is.... :lmao:

I hope everyone is well.

I'm out most of tomorrow. Will try to catch up Thursday.

YAK out.

Hey ya YAK.

We had some icebox soda pop cake, and we will be out doing fireworks in the driveway soo :)

Had a cook-out earlier, steaks and sausage.

Have some lemonade in the fridge, watched the shuttle launch!

We are good to go for a great 4th!

Happy 4th, all!

I've been busy with house stuff all day. Put some more film on the windows to reduce the heat, Malathioned the house (the flies are MOCKING me, MOCKING me, I say!), prepped the burgers, made Frickles' tomato pie, sliced veggies, pulled seeds from radish pods, and replanted my bell peppers. Whew! I'm tired!

I hope I make it to the fireworks show.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful day!

Dinner is ready and once again, I am not hungry. On another note - I can no longer shop in the regular women's clothing section at WalMart. The small is too big (on the bottom half). I am a WalMart (and Old Navy) size 16 girls.

Now, if I could JUST lose my waist and get a butt. Poo.

Frickles - Made the pie with Feta instead of cheddar. Tastes Great!

LY/MI!

Hi all (again)
We didn't do anything tonight.
We went to a cookout today.
We saw fireworks Sat night. They didn't have any fireworks here tonight.

Hope everyone is still having a festive fourth!!

We are (were) playing Scene It. I am getting my butt kicked. The fireworks are going off now. Someone go cut that tree for me, eh?

:cheer2: :yay: :yay: :yay: :cheer2:

Happy Independence Day, everyone!

Here's how the KpKrew celebrated --- Conor gave the children's sermon and our sitter gave the regular sermon at church on Sunday. All about freedom and how we got it and how the founding fathers were big believers. Really proud mama. :)

Then Doug got sick (actually he was already, now that I think of it. He was home shivering in bed while I took the kids to church).

Then we went to camp for the afternoon, though we had planned on staying 2 nights. Doug felt better when we got home. We watched the "America Rocks" Schoolhouse Rocks video.

Went back to camp Monday morning. Swam, went for boat ride, swam, ate, drank, swam, yada yada yada. Good times. The girls had a "Mermaid Ball" with their cousins. Much water frolicking.

Monday evening, went to see fireworks. In the boat. Had to "park" about 3 miles from the bay where said fireworks were taking place because, oops! No anchor. The fireworks were lovely and Syd fell asleep on the way back.

Today, more swimming, boat riding, eating, drinking and frolicking. Good fun, good times with my family.

The best part, was the weather. I think we're on day 5 of the most gorgeous weather that we've seen since last fall. Truly. What a blessing to soak in the sunshine.

Happy to be home and have the little bunnies all tucked into their beds.

Enough about me. How are YOU doing?

Poop -- The commencement of your report is Pooptastic! Pooperiffic! Poopnomenal! I can't wait for the rest.
Oh, and Horsey will appreciate the sentiment on the thread, I'm sure. I miss her too. I guess because Sheridac's thread appeared to be more about bodily functions and emotional distress it snuck through.

Frick --- Can't help you with the pigdog. I can barely keep up with the kids' mess as it is.

LaLa -- don't you think silky-smooth shaved pig lips would be better? Check that out next time you're at the grocery.

nicolemarie, Ashclan, Lou, Chap (dry yet?), GaCat, Mark and Rhonda, Sheridac, and all maelstromers seen and unseen ...

LY/MI !!!

Just a note to say that I want to go to Disney really bad right now. Rhonda and I have been watching the celebrations on TV tonight and I've been playing on my laptop and trying to find a good backdrop for my screen. I have been through all our Disney pictures and I gotta tell you, I have changed it like 8 times. Finally settled - I think - for a picture of Wesley with Princess Auorura. It's a great picture.

But now, after having seen all those pictures, I really wanna go! October - come on!

Blessings!
MarkyMark

Mark - you think you are bad? We put the WISHES CD on to the fireworks show tonight. I needed tissues. SICK. Charlie Brown lips turned to full out crying. Because I want my Walt Disney World. NOW.

Somebody commented on how beautiful the fireworks were last night, and one of the kids informed them "The DISNEY fireworks are the best ever."

true dat.

I kept waiting for the Illuminations music. Or the Wishes music. I love the Boston Pops... but fireworks just ain't fireworks unless they're at WDW!! :goodvibes

Yeah, they couldn't get enough of em. I had to cut my Dad off though after his fourth trip to the jar. I needed to save at least one. For a certain somebody.

To go with his Mulligatawny. And cheesesteaks.

So I picked out the juiciest one with the most hair and it's sitting out on the counter now getting nice and warm like Frickle's oyster. Biding its time. Waiting to be ZZUBed into a fanny pack. Or onto a keyboard. Six of one, half dozen of another.

NM. You're right. There is, apparently, no difference between the two. That was the concensus of the day anyway. Yep. Hot dog=pickled hairy pig lips. Good eatin' indeed. And hey, I told you that you'd love Lost. It's awesome, isn't it? Really sucks you in. The DVDs are the way to go. DH never liked it until I bought the DVD and sat him down one weekend. We watched the whole thing back to back and he is hooked for sure now. I have also lent it to several friends and my parents. They are all Lost Junkies now. And I am their pusher.

Chappie: So sorry you've got such a mess on your hands. Horsey says she'll be right over to help clean up. Seriously, that stinks. Really. I bet it stinks by now. So sorry Chapstick.

Marky Mark and TinkinaDrink: I feel your pain. I, too, am going into Disney IWannabethereNOW overdrive. It's funny that you mention the fireworks because we were watching the Macy's fireworks show tonight and I told DD "That looks almost as pretty as Disneyworld's fireworks." The girl turned on me on a dime. "IT DOES NOT!" she said and gave me "The Look". She's still not speaking to me.

HORSEYSWEETHORSEYLIVINITUPATTHELAKEGIRL: WE MISS YOU! Hope you're enjoying your time on the Lake and soaking up the yellow. We had a cool thread for ya but it went poof. But we really miss you much and love you more. The slapfest wasn't the same without you the other night. ((((KISS))))

Hope everybody had a great Fourth of July and spent some quality time with their families. Remember to say a prayer for all of our troops that would love to be home today eating hot dogs or even pickled pig lips and sharing the day with their loved ones.

QUOTE:" One definition might be: when the thread is more about people and personalities and less about a topic, it might be a clique.

When a thread contains daily "shout-outs" to all the regular posters, it's definitely a clique.

And when the participants talk in code or inside jokes that only they are privy to, it's absolutely a clique.

A shout-out is just a hello. You'll see something along the lines of a roll-call: "hello jane, and mickey, and joe, and missy, and sarah, and donald, and mickey! How is everyone this morning?"

Here are a few of them:

Angels

Ya-Yas

Threadkillers

Test thread

Swan-Dolphin Cheerleaders

The maelstrom/fastpass group

Check 'em out! Most are quite friendly, although you might not understand what the heck they're talking about at times. :teeth:

And no, the format of the boards hasn't changed as far as I can see... :confused3

Made the official clique list :teeth:

I'm out, guys. Dick is mad to me right now. Boo.

I want my Mickey Mouse.

Need to go log into Tour Guide Mike and see how many days it is, exactly.

I know I posted about my serious Disney depression.
It seems you guys are feeling my pain.
Wishes makes me cry too Tink.
But I can top it all.
Tonight I was on the Disney website just to get a fix. I was looking at all the attractions and what not in order to see the little clips....get this...
I click on the Wishes one. It made me tear up. Andy looks at me and tells me to stop crying.
And all I was doing was looking at the clip.
I need my Disney NOW....
I can't handle it.
