HOOP THERE IT IS!!!!!!!

I am DYING over here. DED. I'm already DED and you haven't even got going yet. It's SO good to see you back around these parts. We have missed you terribly, Maelstrom Music Man!

MIL "Mami" A woman with a big heart and unfortunately big panties as well. Which she loves to hang on the shower rod for all to see during every one of her visits. Even though she's been in the US for 36 years she sounds like Pedro from Napolean Dynamite !! Her key phrases..."What did I'm gonna say". No matter how many times we've told her it's "What was I going to say"? No matter HOW full she is, she ALWAYS has room for dessert. But she always prefaces her first bite of dessert with "I need dis like a need a whole in my freakin' head".

This had me doing the silent shake. I can just see her and hear her. And it strikes me funny that although I've never met her, I too know what her panties look like draped across that shower rod. Along with everybody else around here.

DD#2 "LaLa" (14) DD#3 nicknamed her LaLa when she was little b/c she couldn't pronounce her name. My personal nickname for her is Lolly. I'm the only who calls her that. Lolly or LaLa..Ms. Sensitivity, in a good way AND in a bad way. A love for fashion and drama. Loves Mall shopping. Loves Chris Martin (from Coldplay). Has watched EVERY episode of "Friends" at least 4,000 times. Has every DVD of Friends too. She's a hugger and a crier. She also, oddly enough, LOVES to say True Dat!!!

Now that's a girl after my own heart. I think I really like your LaLa.

I'm hooP and you all know Pooh. On with the show. Buckle Up peeps, it's gonna be a bumpy ride.

Bring it on Poops. And bring a couple of keyboards and fanny packs too. Cause somethin' tells me we'll be needin' em before you're done.

Frickles - I have a yellow lab "Miss Samantha Jo". Sounds really lady like doesn't it :rotfl: :rotfl2: :lmao:

This 150 lber is anything but ladylike. Love her dearly but wowser. As a "toddler" she'd chew, dig, tear up anything she could get her paws and teeth into.

Now at nearly 10 years old she is enjoying her senior moments by digging up my flower gardens for a cool place to laze out the afternoon

so you can feel my pain can't you... :) I do like her name!

So the Poops are writing a TR for us! Yeah!!! Tell me, did you visit Senior Frogs? When we were there, the "Girls Gone Wild" video crew was there filming and they were asking all the ladies to sign a waiver.

Hi Hoop
Glad to see you around these parts.
Can't wait for more of your trippie.

:Pinkbounc

Frickles, love the furniture! Too bad about the rug though. Maybe hubby could eat dogfood for a year, apparently it's very filling.... :rotfl:

Hoop and Pooh, great start to the trippie, can't wait to read the rest.

Hi Tracey, just curious, do you answer 911 calls? Or whatever the equivalent is in Canada.

Yep...it's 911 here too. Varies depending on where you live who answers it...in our region police answer it first and ask if you want them, amb or fire, then if it's fire, they transfer it to our 911 lines. Been doing it for almost 9 years...novelty wore off a long time ago. It's a job of "hurry up and wait". But at least on nights and weekends we get to watch satellite tv, surf internet, get caught up on the DIS boards...you know, important stuff the taxpayers would love to know they pay us for. I do it because it's great money, great time off, and pretty secure. 21 1/2 more years and I'm outta here!!!

Lou :lmao: Got that part!

And yes, I'm working tonight too. And tomorrow night. And Wed and Fri night too, but those are overtime...really getting paid what I'm worth then!!!
Going to see POC Thurs night midnight showing!!! So excited!!! Hello Orlando and Johnny!!!

Pooh, feel for you!!! Was unlucky enough to get Norwalk twice and wound up in the hospital both times doing the spew from both ends. Keep hoop on the trip reporting!!! It's great so far!!

Shout out to all my american cousins...just in case we get busy tonight after midnight and I don't get back on here...HAPPY JULY 4th!!! party:

Well, kinda slow around here (and I mean the entire DIS) today, eh?

I haven't even gotten a TU from the riddle yet. And, thanks to Lou, I finally figured it out. Then I felt stupid that it took a mint to have to figure it out. I hate Daylight Savings Time.

It was freakin' hot here today - over 100. I saw much :sunny: , through my window, while I worked ALL DAY. And I really worked today. Pathetic.

I would like to see more :sunny: if anyone is around.

Or not.

:rotfl: Hi all!!
Glad to see the Poops back. Too bad about the poops though.
Can't wait to hear more about the trip!
Happy 4th to all!

Love the furniture Frick!
And the dog, she's soooooo cute!
Lady pulled a stunt like that once. It involved Halloween candy, shampoo and toothpaste.
Amy I haven't gotten a TU yet either, I don't think anyway. I may have on the thread but I never got a PM.

I forgot to say that I think that the high was 85.

NM...I googled the lake area you mentioned. I enjoyed reading the local news...

DH brought home a new doorbell for the house today.

NM: Tell Mr. Jackson he's gonna love Lost. IMO, it's the best written show out there. Just trying to put all the pieces together is half the fun. Just ask the Poops. And Chappie. And Horsey. But when you finally make it to the second season, (which they are reairing now BTW) if you've got any clue about what that freaky four toed statue on the beach means, feel free to clue us all in. We'll be waiting.

Frickles: I have no words for that doorbell. None.

Okay, I was shopping today for our big Fourth of July Blowout and I noticed something in my local grocery store that I never noticed before.

I stopped dead in my tracks and laughed. In the middle of the meat department.

Now I'm sure it's always been there but the funny thing is that I have never given this display a second glance. But that was before I met a group of crazy people on the internet who post pictures of gross stuff. Of which I am one. So what was it, you ask?

A virtual plethora of pickled pork products.

And I just so happened to have my camera with me. So I did it. I looked around and I snapped a picture. Very quickly. To show yall how we roll it here in the South. And yes, I am beginning to worry about myself.

Yeah, I never knew they had Pickled Pig Lips. Interesting. The boy thought so too. He pointed out the fact that the lips still had hair on them. Preserved pickled hairy pig lips. Now that's good eatin'.

So I grabbed a couple jars and I'm serving them tomorrow to go with the dogs and burgers. I plan on doing a blindfolded taste test to see if the guests can tell which one is a hot dog and which one is a big fat hairy pig lip.

I also picked up some pickled quail eggs and pork hocks. I'm saving those bad boys for Mel's Welcome Home party. Cause I think she'll be sick of the rice and dried fruit by then.

Mmm Mmm Good.

Happy Fourth, Everybody!

LaLa - you my girl are a nut :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:

hooP and Pooh - :dance3: :dance3: :dance3:
I can't wait for the rest!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 Everybody

Eddie!!!! Welcome back, babe. Can't wait to hear about the cruise.

Poop, great start on the trippie. I love the family descriptions. Wow, 4 girls. Don't think I realized you guys had that many...... :) Looking forward to the rest.

Everybody else, Hi! :wave2: Just got back from the fireworks. Beautiful night for them. But I didn't like 'em as much as last year. Music wasn't as good. Is it just me, or do the fireworks seem better when they play some nice patriotic music? Instead, we got some top 40 stuff mixed in with some classical. A really bizarre mix.

I am SO psyched to have NO plans tomorrow. It has been much too busy. We actually got an invite to a party tomorrow from one of my DH's friends. This guy has an amazing house, with a new built in pool, and he is an UNBELIEVABLE chef, so the food at his parties is always out of this world. But DH said thanks, but no, we are "peopled out" after such a busy weekend. Much as I would have loved the food, I am so happy he declined the invite. We get to veg! Yeah!!

Pooh, thanks for the Horsey thread. I'm missing her lots. Will go post right now before bed. Sweet dreams, peeps. See you all tomorrow.

Hey all. Drive by posting here. Been an eventful few days. Went to the pool yesterday with the kids, and when we returned home, after a couple of hours, noticed water pouring out of the garage (which is in the basement). Said to myself "hmmm, that's unusual". Went upstairs, and it was raining on the first floor. Said to myself "hmmm, no rain was in the forecast, and in any event, it certainly didn't call for showers indoors". Went up to the 2nd floor, where the laundry room is, and discovered that the hose to the washer machine had split, thereby flooding the house. Said to myself "well, I've been meaning to get the carpets cleaned for awhile now". We've been spending the last day and 1/2 drying out and trying to assess the damage. Oy. Hope everyone else is having a safe (and dry), holiday weekend.

Good Gosh LaLa. I've yet to see these delicacies at my store. Would you be a dear and ship me some? I've got hooP's family coming on Saturday for a BBQ and I think those would be delish !!! Hairy PIG LIPS !!! YUM !! YUM !!! Yeehaw..... Me thinks that goes well with just about anything. Right? LaLa...Don't be worried about yourself. You know how many times I've been at the grocery store and wished I had a cell phone equipped with a camera. Weekly!! The spice rack at our store is fairly nice looking. I think of this crazy house of Peeps EVERYTIME I pass it. You worried? I should be institutionalized.

Pongo..Thanks for the Welcome Back. Did I ever answer your email? I'm spazzing out today. Sorry. I do feel better. Thank you. You're a sweetie.

Frickles....
Girl, you are killing me today. I am pulling out my depends b/c of YOU !!!! Thank You. Hey, any bids on that dog of yours??? :rotfl:

Everyone else.. hooP's writing his next installment. I am in charge of pictures. They are huge. HUGE I'm telling ya !!! HUGE is good. Well, huge is good in certain situations. If it's too big that you can't appreciate it, then it's not good. You know what I'm sayin'.... :teeth:

Amy, For the love of PEACHES. You had to work today? So sorry. Are you at least off tomorrow??? I hope you are. You deserve it.

Horsey... We're missing YA !!!

Susan..... :wave2: Yes, 4 girls. hooP's our only boy. :smokin:
5 girls in the house and hooPie. That's why he's soooo sensitive. We've demasculinazed him. Is that even a word? Don't know, but I'm sure MaxBon would know. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Oh, Chappie, I am sooo sorry! This is terrible. Do you have those ginormous loud fans going? They leave you deaf and dust-ridden, but will dry out your carpet and pad. We are seasoned vaterans in the water damage dept. If it's got a hose, it's leaked here.

Oh boy, I'm gonna regret that last part, aren't I?

Last edited by jamal : Yesterday at 11:55 PM. Reason: why are people on the CB/ miss you thread confused about horseybabyponynoodleysillynordicgirlfriend's name?

Well , Jami...Apparently Horsey's thread violated the CB rule. I thought the CB was friendly to off topic things.....

I guess not....here's what I got in my lovely PM box...

Hmmmmmmmm. Interesting.

Well, I need to address the fact that the message was intended for everyone....If you missed horseypoodleywoodlynordicponygirl...RESPOND....If not....move on.

Just like those threads that ask...."Do you drive a Chevy Tahoe?" Well, NO. I don't drive a Chevy Tahoe..That thread is not intended for me. Ban it, I say. Lock it down...Close it up...throw away the key....... Wait. What if I just don't read that particular thread? Yeah. That's the way to go. Read what I find interesting OR appealing. Now there's a thought. Golly Gee Whitakers.

While all that is FINE and dandy.... I take great issues with threads that remain on the Community Board...Shall I bring our attention to a few??? Yes, I think I shall......In a kinder and gentler way. :teeth:

Tigger&Belle Clean Out Your PM's....

Well, heck if that doesn't warrant a PM, I don't know what does. Starting a thread so someone will clean out their PM box. Hello??? Email??? Anyone, Bueller??? Now, I've seen a post within a thread for someone to CLEAN out their PM box. But an ACTUAL thread. STARTED for the purpose of someone CLEANING out their box. ....Well. :teeth:

Do You Think Dan's Account was Hacked into?

Now, I'm not sure who this thread is targeted to. If this person had a question about another Members account, I think, it should have been taken up with tech support. NO? This to me is clearly a PM. It's NO ONE'S business whether Dan Murphy's account has been hacked.

Which brings me to a thread near and dear to my heart. :teeth:

I Miss MY POOPIES

This was a thread that was started out of LOVE. It lasted about a week and tappered off to page 2, then 3 and eventually will go to Thread Heaven. No Harm, No Foul.

What I love about this place is that the rules APPLY to everyone. No one is singled out and made an example of.
