Pennsylvania appears to be the fireworks capital of the World.
Akron is NOT the fine dining capital of the World.
And, no one west of Buffalo deserves to have a drivers license.

Hi All, A couple of birds told me I was MIA. Gosh, I had no idea. But when I opened my pms and emails I did..... Thanks to all you concerned citizens who expressed their love....

Very busy....very preoccupied. Word has it. People want to laugh. Well I am not sure I can help there. But here is my contribution for tonight....

Yes that is Lou, and yes he actually a professional clown. I should know he comes to sessions in full regalia, despite my requests that he not. That is not me heading into the loo. Did you notice lou and loo are the same phonetically? I wonder if lou changed the spelling of his name?

This is me going to the grocery store. I never leave home without at least one of my faithful companions. Now if only the grocery store would accomodate us.....

And some of you noticed my absence as well as Chaps. Well we were at the beach. Sorry we couldn't have taken all of you....not! You knew he was funny, but what you did not know is that he is drop dead sexy! HA! Cat's out of the bag!

What spice chat is Mark referring to? I never know anything. Why is he suddenly speaking in fork-ed tongue. Me thinks he has partaken of some spices. Rhonda? Shut him off!

I would like to claim the WORST Mother of the YEAR Award....

Last week, I removed a splinter from the bottom of DS's foot, it was in his heel. I used bacitracian (sp??) and covered it with a band-aid. Then, I NEVER gave it another thought.

Now, I must explain here, that DS is a dirt magnet. Think Pigpen from the Peanuts gang...

The ONLY time he is CLEAN, is when he is actually IN the water (tub or shower), and using soap...

So, after our mini surgery where we removed the splinter, I went on my merry way, never again thinking to check his dirty little foot. He never complained about it at all.

Until last night.

He came hobbling out of his room, after I had put him to bed. (Pretty rare for him to get out of bed after being tucked in.) I asked him what was wrong, and he said his foot hurt. Thinking this was some random excuse to stay up a little bit later, I ignored the idea. I told him to stop with the nonsense and get BACK TO BED. As I watched him limp up the stairs, though, I began to wonder....

I called him back to me, and asked to look at his foot.

The poor little guy...I really am not sure how he was walking on it at all. Where the splinter had been was all read and swollen. I ran my finger across the lump, and it was HARD. Definitely infected. I immediately got a bowl of hot soapy water, and had him soak his foot. He let me squeeze it once, to see if any pus would come out...but instead he ended up SCREAMING in pain...so this morning I had to take him to the Doctor.

So anyway, the doctor took one look at it, said it was definitely infected, and that I brought him just in time...he soaked it in the office, then numbed the foot a bit, and then stuck the BIGGEST needle I have ever seen into my poor little DS's foot.

Surprisingly, DS DID NOT cry....until he looked at his foot and saw BLOOD.

"YOU MADE ME BLEED MY OWN BLOOD!!!!!" He screamed at the TOP of his lungs. Two nurses came running into the room, thinking he had to be held down.

He looked at me and said, "You let them do this to me, you are a MEAN MOTHER. Take me home NOW!"

Now, his foot is all bandaged, he is on antibiotics, and I am charged with Keeping the foot CLEAN...

I had a thought in light of the recent picture panic whilst I was MIA, even though I didn't know I was, mind you....

I would recommend folks open a separate photobucket account for pix to be posted publicly. This would be separate from their own personal account. This would limit the pix in there, and reduce the chance of anyone getting a look at an album. A pal of mine tried, at my request, getting into my photobucket and could not, due to the password protection.

I know this is not timely as this is now yesterday's news, which is a lightyear on the DIS, but I wanted to suggest it to people. Some of the techno geeks may have more tips.

Well I guess that was just one word.

I had a few people try to get into my account. They couldn't. I also looked over what info is in a photobucket account. Not much. Unless you used your primary email account to set it up. If you did, what were you thinking? That is what free web based email accounts are for. Other than that it is just the pictures YOU uploaded.
