Anyway, just want to say I love you all. And Mel, hope Tommy's nightmares went away. I think I know what he was dreaming about.

The Ashclans have a very busy day today. Double header b-ball games (starting in about 10 minutes), a graduation party, a few salon appointments, and a blood donation (which I can't imagine how to fit in). Sooooo, I'll see you chickens later tonight. If I don't fall asleep in my beer at the party this afternoon, that is. AND if we don't lose power again.

Not much to do here today, finally. I think my middle DD has been licking the keyboard, because she has a horrible cough AND her throat hurts. So we may have to work in a trip to the Dr. We'll see how it goes.

Hope everyone has a great day! I have lots of things to look forward to today. I cut the grass last night, but have to do the trim today. Rhonda is posting too, as I am typing, so we may be saying the same thing. (We both had to get on to see all the carnage). I also have to go visit the family in my church this afternoon. Other than that, I don't have a clue what we're doing today.

First, I want to thank Haley for the shoutout list. When I read each of your names I smiled and pictured you. Well, I picture those I have seen in photos. The rest of you look like Michael Jackson until you show yourselves!

Thanks also to our Sheridac for her never-fail shoutout. Baby, it's the first thing my eyes read every morning! Thank you! GaCat is good about this too. Thank you. We are a terrific group! I am so blessed to know you.

Reading, seeing , and hearing......is a fastpass?
Well, go see Nacho Libre if you like Jack Black (shameless shameless man!!), Napolean Dynamite, and School of Rock (one of my all-time fave flicks). Chris and I have seen it and need to share some lines with you!

The funniest book I have read in years, and I read it last summer, is The Know-It-All by AJ Jacobs. Someone, please tell me you've read it. I realize that as much as I like to laugh in movies and (occasional) TV, the written word gives me laughs like nothing else! See why I like being with all of you so much?

Speaking of laughing with (never at) all of you, I miss my Grammy! I know she has had a fulllll week and will be back soon.

Hi Poops! We've missed you some the last few days. Life is very rich and bittersweet for you right now. I hope your family partied into the night.

Weather is downright steamy today for Canada. It's going to be around 38C or approx 100F. (with humidex, of course....that's a Canadian thing for you non's) It won't last.....so don't worry we won't melt! We just go stand under Niagara Falls!

Rhonda - Let's see - we are going to Disney in about 28 days. Everything is set to go. Plus our little mini-meet (I love to say that....it reminds me of Austin Powers....) Eating at Chef Mickey's, Rainforest, Flying Fish, Typernaki's (can't spell it or say it....Japan!), SciFi and Whispering Canyon.

Thank you to all that wished us Congrats on our DD's Graduation. It was wonderful. hooP and I did our best to hold it together. I didn't want to embarass her with the ugly snotty cry.


I'm happy to see I only had 8 pages to get caught up on.

I'm also happy to see that nothing eventful happened while I was gone.

Grammy....I've already told you this but I wanted to say it again and say it loud..... YOU ARE AWESOME AND I LOVE YOU !!!!!!

Too bad UPS doesn't think my address exists. Although they were able to MAIL me a postcard saying just that.

Tink, this made me laugh. Hard. I really needed this laugh too. This morning. After you know.

We have lived on our street, which is a fairly new street, and we still aren't on mapquest or rand mcnally or any other directions website. I literally have to give directions to every soul that has to come visit us. We cannot be Googled.


I also wanted to add to MEL. I speak for hooP and I, when I say, we love you to pieces. Mel, thank you for sharing that little bit of Beth with us. IT made me cry. It made me understand why Disney is soooooo important to you. We ALL have reasons why Disney is important to us. I, too, have my reasons. I am not brave enough to share them though. Thank you for sharing a piece of yourself in that writing. For reliving the moment so we could better understand your reasons for going. When horsey did it in her TR and when Momofmnm did it in hers. It moved us. It drew us closer to them b/c we saw them beyond the words they type on this board. You are an awesome Mom. A wonderful writer and I look forward to reading more of your stuff. I swear Mel, if I have to pay for it, I will. You are a priceless!!!!

I am proud of my little girl. Who is not a little girl anymore but an awesome Adult !!! It makes me fill up with pride that I had anything to do with what a wonderful human being she is. Off to find a tissue !!!

First things. First. I BROKE A NAIL. Two even, actually. One yesterday. One today. NOT happy.

Second things. Second. I have another freaking essay to do. Due tomorrow. I CANNOT wait until tomorrow to do it. Like ALWAYS. Wait. Maybe I can!!!! Then I might get a failing grade!!! And FINALLY get my get out of Dodge card!!!

Third things. Third. (I will never say last because I am NEVER finished. As you well know.) This was THE BEST line from Nacho Libre. In my not-humble-at-all opinion. I was saving it for Oz and a few close buds but, a) I really, really find it funny and, 2) Apparently Oz has better things to do today. Than listen to me. Who knew???

Cause he spilled one in his truck on the way home and had to go get me another one.

I have no plans for the afternoon. Yet. But it will probably involve homework. Perhaps I can convince him to go see Cars with me. I don't know.
