This is what happened when I tried to help Grammy deliver your presents. Sorry for the slight delay.

A bunch of folks have asked where I am going.

We head for a week at Rangeley Lake each summer. This is set in the Western Maine mountains and is some of the most beautiful country you could ever hope to see. We rent a compound from a family. It consists of a main lodge, and has three sleeping cabins. It sits with a view of the western sunsets right at the edge of a large and spectacular lake.

We swim, tube, waterski, canoe, kayak, read eat and drink. It is a trendy little tourist spot, but with a wild edge.

Here are a few pics from last year.

We leave on Saturday. I should be around a bit until then. I may come home in the middle, depending on how it goes...

Happy Birthday Jami!

Grammy - What's going on in Texas? I live in FL.

We found a place. It's the duplex. We went and looked inside yesterday. Brand new, even the appliances aren't in yet. We signed the lease. It's a month to month lease, for as long as we want. We just have to give him 30 days notice when we're going to leave. 3, 2 tile throughout. Vaulted ceilings in the living area. A eat in kitchen. It's bigger than our old house, smaller than our new one is going to be. It's nice. We can't wait to move in next week when we get back from the beach. I might be gone for a little while after we get in though. I am not going to stress out about trying to get the phone hooked up until after we get back. So, I'll check in when we get home next week, and then let you now when I'm going to be absent.

Tonight we have the big annual, clean the heck out of the van. Usually once, sometimes 2 or 3 times a year we do a major cleaning, usually before traveling. We hate riding in a dirty van, yet, we don't usually keep up with the cleaning. lol. So, out come the seats, our comes the armor all and leather cleaner, out comes the windex and vaccume, out comes the air fresheners.
