DL is more intimate somehow. . .likely 'cause it's smaller. Yet, it has a certain undefinable quality. . .which I can't define. . .'cause there's no definition of definable that can define undefinable. How's that for sher-ian logic?

Come to the dark side? I LIVE in the dark side, only it's populated by fine wine drinkers who can't abide the abuse of exclamation marks. It is only through my finely attuned sense of civility that I tolerate them.

Oh, BTW, BTW, DH is finally starting to show a teensy bit of interest in my friends on M2, since he's going to be meeting so many of you soon. He's looked over my shoulder on occasion this week. Sher, showed him your pic this a.m. Daddy likey!! (Even though you're WAY too short for him....)

It's a beee-u-t-ful day in this neighborhood too!!! I am off to the poolside with what hopefully will be a good read (1776 was a good read, really, but a little dry, just sayin'. Although I was able to speak intelligently on it. See?? More MAD Scooby Skillz!!) .

Speaking of rides a la DL, all the original rides there seem much more familiar to me in some ways, less antiseptic as WDW's can feel sometimes. Is that just me? Not knocking WDW as it has magic of its own, but DL seems to have harnessed a little something extra. For example, one of my all-time, superydupery fave rides at DL is Storybook Land. There is no equivalent at DW. . .sigh

Yes, Disneyland feels more magical to me and a little less like a machine (a machine I love). The feel when you walk into Fantasyland in DL has nothing to match it in WDW. It is in the details that DL excels and if you don't love to look around the park you will not notice it. And while the castle is bigger and impressive to many in WDW, I do not like it. It tries too hard to be a real castle (I have seen many and it is no where close). The castle in DL is a fairytale castle. It never tries to look 'real'. The Storybook Land ride is wonderful, after dark with all the lights on it is pure magic.

That said the Monorail in WDW is so much cooler. It actually goes somewhere Though there arain, having a Monorail stop inside Tomorrow Land is kinda cool...

Dick just woke up. Poor baby. He was up til 4:30am. Didn't get hoe from work until 1:30. We are going to see Pirates today!!! Yay!!!!
