Just curious. For those that have had problems whether they are practicing or at the park (like someone on their friends list not appearing). Do you have an Iphone or Android? Just wondering if it's a problem within a certain phone. I haven't had a single problem (samsung galaxy), but my friends who have gone, everyone who has had an issue had iphone. Like yesterday, I was with 2 friends, and all 3 of us were trying. One of them the red button wouldn't come up, the other her husband wasn't appearing on her Friends and Family list to select (they both have apple). I had no issues and got us in.

I know we've talked about apple vs droid when it comes to the app loading, or when they did the update. But not about the Friends list not appearing, or not showing in the park

I have an iPhone 11. Friday, for the first time, I was the only one listed when I clicked to get a boarding pass. I didn’t practice on Saturday. The same thing happened today, it was only me on the list. I’m thinking about deleting and reinstalling the app before I practice again tomorrow.

Remember, and this is for everyone who is new to this thread, as I have said it a thousand times, but it bears reminding. If you are inside DHS by 7:59am you will most likely get into a bg. Only about 10 days since the attraction opened has that not been the case. So your odds are great if you are there before park opens. Not saying that the days of 1 minute all bg gone won't be back but all you can do is be there early to have the best chance, there's nothing else you can control. You (as in everyone reading this post) have all the info necessary, you have a backup plan, you're good to go

Related to this, I think the biggest factor in having a smooth ROTR experience is having the good fortune of being in the park on a day when the ride starts loading early and goes through the day with no more than a couple of minor delays. I’d rather have one of the first backup groups on a day like that than a low BG on a day filled with delays and evacuations when you have no idea if and when your BG will be called.

Just another thing that you can’t control.

Regular, not guaranteed. None of the bg are guaranteed

i understand that but I thought if you had a regular boarding group that did not get to ride today that you would still being issued an anytime FP + a 1 day DHS park pass? Has this changed?

If not, they are still guaranteeing you will ride. Maybe not today but they are offering you an opportunity in another day.

I have watched a bunch of videos with people trying to get a boarding group, but they all seem to be going solo. When do you add your party during the process?

they have done that sort of guest recovery to people with regular and backup bg. And they could take that away at any time since they are not guaranteed

same as selecting people to make fp. You can practice before your trip, every morning at 8am est and you can go almost all the way through, so you will be able to see the guest selection and then when you try and join at the end it will say you are not in the park, at that point you have had a successful practice

I never had any issues with practicing on a pixel 2. The two days I tried in the park this week I had issues both time. My husband, never practiced with a pixel 3a got group 44 no issue & 10 with only 1 person of 4 showing up

I don’t think the issues are more for iPhones.Mine went for about a month with no glitches and then got a few a week or 2 ago. I think it’s more likely to have glitches in the park because of everyone hitting the same cell towers and Disney wifi.
But MDE is more stable for Android. They generally release fewer of the X.1, X.2 releases for Android and those are often bug fixes. So there could be some better performance but I’m guessing it’s not a huge factor.

You have hope. Up to 74 at 5:20 with around 3 hours of regular park hours left. Baring further downtime, that 'should' get you there.

They're at 81 at 5:40. Even if they start cutting off by 7pm to prevent huge line surge at the end, a 9.5BG/hour rate should still get you there. Close, but should make it.

If you haven't gotten the notification yet, they may think they'll reach it.

I have a friend now who got 110 and got the notification.

I don’t think it matters. daughter and I have iPhone 11. Husband has galaxy 10. Day one only daughter and husband had us all listed. I had just me. she got BG 25! Day two we all had people missing. I added just me. Got BG 8. And GET added them to mine. Lesson is just keep moving and don’t stress who is on the list
