Just checked and onto backups by 714 possibly sooner.

From home, I saw 7:14 a.m. too.

We got on the resort bus at 6am today. In park by 6:30. Even with my crummy phone got # 41. BGs gone around 7:20 and only backups available now.

Rope dropped rockn rollercoaster and 30 minute wait for midway mania. Going back to Caribbean Beach and then come back for Slinky Dog FP at 10-11and hopefully Rise will be up.
Had BG 46 on Friday when it didn’t start until 8:30, and got on about noon.

Thanks for the idea to "test" before going. We are headed there in 2 weeks - I opened the app at 6:59 AM and at 7:00:20 AM, the "Join..." button went red.

7:20 thats really late or did you mean 7:00:20. Would definitely be onto backup groups by 7:20.

So true. Grateful that they weren’t instantly gone. Just going to have to sweat a 7:30 dinner reservation now. Traveling with a non-Star Wars person, so canceling not an option. Trying to balance various priorities ;-).

Definitely a bummer but good news is even with those issues you got a primary BG and I based on recent history you are nearly guaranteed to get on

At least it wasn't one of those days where all the regular BGs were going be in 90 secs

I was practicing with my older phone to see how it performs (Pixel 2XL love the camera so in no hurry to upgrade). This morning it was maybe 30 seconds after 7:00 and it went red. Of course thats on my work wifi who knows what to expect at the park, one of us will probably try using wifi and one will try on Verizon data.

Now that my MDE app is working, I tried it out this morning. The button went 'red' 10 minutes before park open. I was stunned and wondering if people are now all just waiting until 7 to click and if no one knows it sometimes goes up before park opening. I was so excited to tell you all this so I can contribute even though I'm not there.....then I remembered that at home, I'm in a different time zone so 6:50 am my time is 7:50 HWS time so definitely after park open. Oh well. Maybe, it's the thought that counts? Thanks everyone for all your tips and tricks that I will use later this month.

I was on Disney wi-fi but it kept going down so switched to my own and it worked fine. LOL, pretty bad when Trac-fone wi-fi is better than Disney's!

I was so excited to nab BG 15 right at 7 using T mobile data no WiFi. Sadly they haven’t started boarding any groups yet and it’s almost 8:30. Back-up groups are still available. Thanks to all who have provided DPs and info to this thread!!! Arriving at 6:15 worked well and definitely stay to the right next to the green temp wall. No finger scans today. I waited until 7 to click the “Find out more” button and the BG button turned red immediately- very lucky!

The No bag line was shorter today. They had 2 lines not marked super well. There were people with bags that had to switch. Bag lines seemed pretty slow but looked like they would get in before 7am. If taking resort buses allow extra time for scooters. We were at the 1st stop and the maximum 2 both got on there. Next stop one was left behind. The entire bus was full by the 3rd stop so we just drove past the unhappy guests at the 4th and 5th stops.

Question...what if walk over from Beach Club and get in line early. Would it be acceptable for DH and DD to come a little later and join me in line? Would that be allowed? Would people in line behind be mad?

I see no reason why they couldn't show up later, then you move backward to join them...problem solved, everyone is together.

Are the "no bag" lines not at the usual corner location (where the canopy curves from facing Skyliner to facing the parking tram)?

Caught an Uber from All-Star Movies and arrived 6:40. Made it through bag check and went to scan bands at 6:50. Mine went through fine, my son’s band, for the 3 time in a row on our first park day, didn’t show he had a ticket. I even asked at the Front Desk at the hotel last night to make sure this wouldn’t happen and was told we were all set. Ended up at Guest Relations when 7am hit, I didn’t realize the time because I was annoyed but then decided to get at least myself in a boarding group because I was scanned. I got 86.
GR told me that this should have been taken care of 3 trips ago but no one ever did and that the hotel can’t actually tell us if it’s linked. He did tell me he would do us a favor and put my son in my BG.
8:45 now and they still aren’t boarding.
