Apologies if asked before, tried looking but couldn't find info.
Park opens at 8 when we go so aiming to get there about 7:15/30 (random Wednesday mid Jan). We want to go queue for smugglers run (like so many others I'm sure). Where is the best place to go when we enter the park. I'm guessing there will be different holding areas to different parts of the park. Is it self explanitary when I get there? I am a serious planner and need to know as many logistics so anxiety doesn't kick in (think I've enough info to know what I'm doing for rotr🤞😁). Thanks x

I have save my judgement on the longevity of this experience as Tony Baxter's litmus test is 20 rides :) Will it hold up as well as our love for the mountain rides (Space Mountain, Everest, Matterhorn) and Indiana/Dinosaur? Time will tell!

There's only one entrance to SWGE at rope drop. Stay to the left on Hollywood Blvd and the cm will corral the people over to grand Avenue

If the popularity of this ride doesn’t exceed Dinosaur long-term, it will be a complete bust.

Thank you so much, that's a relief to know there is only 1 way in. Will stay left, thanks 😁

What longevity are you talking about?
The rides it's here to stay, it's not going anywhere
I can't see how to compare this overall experience to any ride. It's so much more than the ride alone

If I've already made 3 FP+'s and dining reservations for a particular day, will the "system" not assign me a boarding pass for those times?

What if the time happens to conflict with the dining reservation, will I still be dinged for the $10 no show fee?

TIA...

AFAIK, boarding groups are not connected in any way to other plans in MDE. So yes, there may possibly be an overlap in times, since boarding groups don't have assigned times.

Caught a 6:30am bus to DHS from CBR. Arrived at DHS 6:40 and son forgot magic band. He sprinted to guest services to get a card. In the park by 6:53am. Turned off Disney WiFi. Closed the Disney App and opened it at 7am exactly. My party of 5 got boarding group 15!

Thanks for all the posts! This thread made it happen!!
So, is it better to turn off the Disney WiFi for quicker access to BGs at park opening?

Wow! Trying to read and figure out how to get to ride once during our trip in March, and it is overwhelming! I wonder if I should wait until closer to March since it seems Disney is changing things a bit as they go? Wonder if the procedures will still be the same then?
And miss the fun of compulsively reading this thread?!?!?!?

Anyone care to take bets with me regarding Disney allowing a second standby BG in the slower days of late January and February.....

I think they will test it, especially if they are getting to backups now as early as they are.

OR they can keep the scarcity if getting a BG by reducing the ride capacity, like SpM and POTC.

6:14 left boardwalk
6:30 through security (busiest day at security including no bag line out of 12/29, 12/31, and 1/1)
6:40 in park (still tap and go, but took a lot longer than last few days)
7:00 boarding group 48
So you’ve ridden it 4 out of the past 5 days or just testing out the Boarding Group process?

Anybody know what the highest BG is today? Up to 152 now.

EDIT: perhaps that is the end. Hasn’t moved in awhile.

If I get a boarding group that’s too early in the day for my liking, could a CM reassign a later one if I asked?
