that would be my list yes, the Sunset attractions are not as popular as the TSLand attractions. The least busy of them all and not on your list is ST, but yeah that would be my plan
Thanks. That’s the route we will go then. ST is actually our next FP after SDD.

Yayy.

I think I saw you on the bench. Or at least someone who was sitting on the bench with ears and a scarf LOL
Was probably me! With a man bundled up in a hoodie? Haha my husband is so cold this morning. We’re in line now! The entrance from TSLand had just opened both directions. Hopefully all parts are working. I had to pull my husband away from taking 1,000 pictures lol.

Love the Chart!!! Quick question: Does the column for "# of Total BGs called" include both the regular and backup groups? My assumption is yes, but wanted to confirm. I was trying to see whether there is a notable shift if the proportion of regular vs backup (over the total # of groups) over the past few weeks on a % basis.

There have been reports that the 1 hour return for rotr is not strictly enforced. It's pretty easy to monitor loading pattern on rotr by just looking at the app. If let's say you're bg gets called at 9 and you have a 9:30 fp you should be able to ride and come out in time, if that's not the case you can always explain it to the a GET cm and they should be able to help
From the example you can also ride sdd and get to rotr before 10

This is my biggest concern right now. I’m now less concerned about actually getting a boarding group now (I feel well prepared, but expectations are still in check.) I am most concerned it will conflict with our SDD FP. Mostly because we will have to rider switch both rides, so it’s going to take twice the time for all of us to do ROTR and Slinky. Just my luck they’ll be at the same time. I long for the days when you could come back anytime for a rider switch return! :) Those were the days.

Thanks to all of you who have been so informative. I’ve followed this thread daily and all the information everyone has shared has been so helpful. Really appreciate it.

@MickeyWaffles (and now I want a Mickey waffle!)--I don't think you should be concerned. If it's obvious that your RotR BG and the SDD FP+ are going to coincide, go to a GET CM. They've been incredibly accommodating and I feel that your FP+ will be able to be moved.

I’m just curious, how are people knowing the time they click in and when they are successful down to the second? I wait until the clock on the upper left corner of my iPhone changes to 7:00, but I have no way of knowing if it’s been 5 seconds or 20 seconds, and I’m reading about people being exact to the second. I just know when it changes to 7:01, 7:02, etc... There’s probably an app in or something I imagine, but I couldn’t be using that, because I obviously have to be in MDE.

Practicing from home, the quickest my wife and I have gotten through the process is 7:00:15, with the join button being available at about 7:00:05. Those of you that have a sub 30 BG, how quickly did you get through all the button clicks needed?
I timed that after I close the app it takes about 4 seconds to get to the app open again on my phone. Today I opened it at about 2 seconds before 7 and got group 3.

It does, yes.

Several of us believe they have managed to call all of the Backup Groups that they handed out 4 on out of the last 5 days, but we can't prove it. They substantially reduced how many regular BGs they handed out starting 1/20, so the data gets wonky trying to calculate what you're asking.

Understood. It is definitely tricky and Disney has certainly been keeping us on our toes. Thanks for all your efforts! I find this all fascinating and very useful. We're only a few weeks away from our trip and I have enjoyed following along.

The new DHS opening hours posted for February are a bummer for me. I am coming to FL for work and taking the first flight down on my travel day to visit the parks. I will arrive at DHS around 9:30am. When the opening time was 9:00 I had a chance of getting a backup BG, but with the park opening at 8:00 it's probably not going to happen.

Wonderful! I moved our SDD fastpass to 8:40 (we have a 7am opening), but am now panicking with all my "practice" that we will get an early BG  but good to know.

Just over here preparing for all scenarios while hoping for the best!
thank you so much for posting this. I just changed a 345pm SDD FP+ to 850AM (8AM open) and another 1150AM SDD on 2/14 to 830AM. This really helps tighten up our schedule and increases the odds we get a RnR and ToT FP for our 10 year old! Thank you so much. Hoping this karma follows you to your RotR attempts!

Lol! It takes me 15 seconds on my iPhone SE at home in good WiFi and/or data to reopen the app. Although I was able to get my son BG 29 when I helped from home a few weeks ago. Thanks for the timing tip!

You never know, I just checked and you can still get a backup today at 9:16 am with a 7:00 opening. I agree it’s iffy, but worth a shot!

How on earth are you guys knowing down to the second?? All I can see is when my phone clicks over to 7:00 from 6:59, unless I trying to count 1-Mississippi 2-Mississippi 3-Mississippi in my head after 6:59 lol!

I also noticed that when I first open the app in the am it takes quite a few seconds (I never actually timed it- same issue with how many seconds it is exactly as I just asked- but it feels like a long time when I’m waiting impatiently. ) Then I see it automatically logs me in, which takes another couple of seconds. So I’m definitely not planning to completely open the app for the first time at 7:00. Practicing from home I’ve had good luck sitting on the main page, and clicking find out more right when the clock changes to 7:00. I’m sure in my real day it won’t go as smoothly though haha.
