A friend or two directed me to this site. I am so NOT computer and technology friendly! Can someone explain to me in Kindergartener terms (okay, maybe a few years higher ;)) how this whole wanting a design and the whole process.

Seems a designer would do an image, but then am I responsible for the whole altering/coloring, etc of the image--- along with the use of some software? Do they send it mirror image or do I do that? :confused3

I am looking for a few designs--- surprise trip and thought the t-shirts would be a great thing to hand them as we pull into the airport to announce the trip... and something for MNSSHP... I just don't know the process of this and am looking for an easy way to get shirts made.

Any help is appreciated!

Thanks,
Bridget

It's ok, I need things in kindergarten terms sometimes too! :thumbsup2

Search through the DISigners threads. When you find the design(s) that you like, you post on their thread a request. THEY will alter the image to add your names, etc. and then they will post it. Be sure to subscribe to the thread so you don't lose it and make sure you give yourself a lot of time, they have many requests and sometimes it takes a while for them to get to yours.

Go to the store or online at someplace like jiffyshirts and purchase the shirts you plan on using. Wash them (don't use fabric softener).

When your designs are finished, you will save them to your computer, usually by right clicking on them and then clicking on "save as".

Purchase some transfers. I suggest amymickey.com, they are great transfers and have good directions with them. Print out your design onto the transfer and then follow the directions to ironing it onto your shirts!

That's it and you'll have beautiful personalize shirts!

A note: when looking at the designs, think about the border around them. If you are using white shirts, you can have just about any design, but since the good transfers are DARK transfers (there is another kind of transfer called light transfer and I have been told they don't last as long) you will need a border on your designs or a white shirt. This is b/c ANYTHING white on the design you have till be white on the shirt...including the whole PAGE of transfer (but you can cut to size).

Hope that last part wasn't too confusing. :goodvibes
