Imagine all that I've gone through to get us there and I don't even have anything to pack our clothes in! No matter, we don't need clothes, right?

Just a quickie update! I have been SO SICK! It's been over a week, so I haven't done really anything in preparation for the trip except countdown days! We are hoping to reschedule our tie dye day for Tuesday, I'm on the mend now, but still not 100%. AND, we are at 68 days today!!! That does NOT seem very long and I don't have all the gas/tip/souvie monies saved up yet!

Hopefully I will get some Disney stuff done this week, but with Thanksgiving and lots of petsitting, maybe not! And here I thought that I would be all done and ready to leave this far out...this will give me lots to do in Jan. when it's cold and we are stuck in the house!

Hello! I'm back with the living, but it was slow to recover that time. I'm having some other health issues, I think related to Vitamin D deficiency, so hopefully I can get myself 100%! I have 57 DAYS to do so!!!!!!!!!

So, without further ado, DAY 1!
Day 1: A picture of you at Disney with 10 reasons you're a Disney lover.

First off, the picture was easypeasy! Today is Rey's Birthday, so it only made sense to post a picture of me and him together!

Of course, I don't think he really likes this pic of himself b/c his was leaning his head back and giving himself a double-chin, but whatever!

The 10 reasons seem easy, but I had to give it some thought b/c many of them seem so similar, they could count as 1 reason:
1. I can be a kid again when I'm at Disney
2. I forget all about the outside world and let go of everything!
3. I get catered to with my many food issues, which is the total opposite anywhere else.
4. There is something for everyone in our family
5. I'm FREE and relaxed
6. It's magical
7. It's FUN!
8. There is always something new to experience
9. Uh...DRINKS at World Showcase! Especially the Grey Goose slushie! Mmmmm
10. It's a magical world where you can escape with your family, have more fun than you can imagine, and laugh and play all day long!

Looking forward to doing this and I also will have the tie dye and some project/tshirt pics to share soon!

Thanks everyone! I think it's going to be really fun! I'm focusing more on answering the questions with a fun pic more than showing off my photography, so I hope you like them even though some of them aren't my best shots!

Day 2: A picture of the character you’re most like.

This was different, I haven't ever really thought about a character that I'm MOST LIKE. So, I decided on Donald! He's spunky, silly, and often complains and rants occasionally. Funny, my dad used to do Donald's voice ALL the time, I only just remembered that. He would do it in the middle of a restaurant and embarrass us all!

Wow, Karen, a lot has happened since I last read your PTR! First of all, congrats on your first romantic getaway! You two looked like you had a lot of fun. I liked your "I'm-a-cool-photograher-shot". Oh, and I also noticed the Disney language in your mini TR All of the food looked fantastic, especially the spinach and artichoke stuffed potato skins! I'm going to try to replicate that at home somehow. Those vodka shots looked good and I'm really curious about the dill pickle one. As far as your upcoming trip, I'm so sorry about Dumbo and BTMRR being down! Ugh! The Aladdin Dash seems like a good compromise to me too

Just a heads up: I'm totally stealing some more of your ideas! The Cookie Monster cupcakes were too cute (as was the rest of Savannah party) so I'm going to have to make those! I'm also stealing your idea for that Facebook challenge of 30 days of Disney pictures. I think I'm going to do that on my PTR after Christmas. I really like the first two days that you've posted so far

I really can't believe it either! Today is 56 days and after all the struggle it seems surreal that we're actually going back! I was sitting at a stoplight today thinking about how close it is compared to the last night I stood in MK and took it all in, thinking about how it would most likely be YEARS before I got back. And here we are 2+ years later and it seems like just yesterday!

30 Day Disney Photo Challenge
Day 3: A picture of your favorite Disney memory.

This was SO easy, I knew just the shot as soon as I read it! We had a long day and I was poised to get tons of pictures of Wishes. This is WHY I had bought my camera b/c our first trip the pics I had were horrible! We found a spot, it was super busy, and I realized my camera battery was about to die. I had been waiting to take these firework shots for YEARS and was so frustrated I was on the verge of tears.

Just as the battery died, I got ONE single shot and just before the camera shut off, I looked down and saw the last shot I had gotten. THIS picture is what I saw. I immediately teared up, took a long deep breath and took in this moment that I knew I would probably never see again...

In the end, this shot is a million times better than all the Wishes shots I missed that night.

So, 55 days now? Unbelievable!!! You must be so excited! Did you get to do new tie dyes?? I know you were planning on it. Did you take pics of them? We actually decided to move our trip up to August 15th now. It's just with Victoria starting high school (OMG!!!) I think the work will be too hard to make up. Victoria is actually pretty happy with this decision. She's happy we won't run into the love bugs!!! I will just hate the heat, but it's only 3 weeks earlier than usual, so it shoulding make that much of a difference, right?

Yep, did the shirts and I was going to post a picture when I got some other shirts done, but I might as well post it now!

They came out great! I did realize afterwards that the 2 shirts I made for Dallas were 1/2 polyester and you can tell which ones they are (top left red and middle top green mickeyheads), they are a little faded. 100% cotton works best! A couple of these are from the batch I did last year before canceling the trip and then the rest were done the other day!

Thanks Ann and Amanda! I'm pretty pleased with them! I need to wash them again though, last trip the kids got wet and they bled all over their bodies and pants!

30 Day Disney Photo Challenge Day 4: A picture of the way you know you’re at a Disney park.

Well, definitely the main entrance picture would work here, but I didn't want to use THAT obvious of a shot! I realized that there are a LOT of pictures I could use for this, but I chose this one. I know I'm at a Disney park when there are smiles all around from everyone and when I see the castle! This shot captures that pretty well! Oh and when my teenage boys wear matching mickeyhead tie dyes! That's how I know as well!

So I had a little "Disney-meltdown" last night! I am not sick anymore, but I'm having some Fibromyalgia pain that I think is due to Vit. D deficiency. Anyway, I'm dealing with it, so I digress... I had a lot of pain yesterday and I guess as a way of occupying my mind, I started messing with stuff.

First off, I read one too many Les Chefs de France reviews and it's really never good to do that after you have your ADRs. I got all nervous that the meal would be terrible and called up Rey talking about changing it. Made the rash decision to book Garden Grill instead, changed stuff around and THEN went to read GG reviews! WHAT was I thinking??? First off, there is relatively NOTHING for a vegetarian/vegan to eat there AND it's a character meal, which I really wasn't looking for. We already have some of those and I wasn't looking for another.

THEN I felt bad b/c Dallas had wanted to try the duck at Chef's and when I looked I realized it was only on the dinner menu, so I canceled the Garden Grill and made dinner back at Chef's instead of lunch. Following me? Well, Rey wasn't! That poor guy, he totally got frustrated and didn't understand why I was changing stuff around and freaking out, this morning I apologized to him and explained that I think I was just in pain and looking for something to occupy my mind. So, no GG for us, back to Chef's and if it's not good, then it's not good. No more reviews for me!
