? re when I can call to extend stay

I currently have October 16-22 booked-6 nights, that's all I had points for at 11 months. So at 7 months I'll be calling to extend my stay one day. Do I call 7 months from the check-in day, March 16? Or do I have to wait until March 22 because it's considered a new reservation (until, hopefully, they link it)?

I had one expereince with this after the reservation policy changed and I had to wait until 7 months from the date I wanted to add. Like you, the date I needed to add was at the end of the stay and meant waiting beyond 7 months from the first check-in date. Once booked, there was no problem linking the reservations.

However, since there is very little experience with similar reservations, I would go ahead and call as soon as you can. The worst that will happen is that you will need to call back a few days later.

Ah, good idea! Thanks! Maybe I'll be lucky enough to get a CM at MS who interprets the rule so I can book on March 16th. And if I'm REALLY lucky, maybe I'll get that BCV studio!

No. It doesn't work that way. The inventory of rooms available for cash is separate from the inventory available for points.
