Re-using old bands

I'm planning to reuse last years bands. My dh didn't go last year. Can he use my sisters band? Can't remember if you scan finger with the bands. Thanks

You scan fingers for tickets, which tend to be on the MDE account and linked to from the band now.

If you have onsite reservations and she's on the reservation, you can get bands for that reservation. Put your sister's name into the reservation and she'll have her very own MB.

The OP's sister is the one who HAS a MB.

It's the OP's husband who does not have a MB.

I guess I didn't word it right. My sister and I went last year. I have her magic band. This year me and dh are going and staying offsite. Can dh use my sisters band after I link new tickets to the band?

Disney's answer on transferring magic bands:

No. Your MagicBand or card is unique to you and only you are authorized to access the benefits associated with it—including linked tickets, FastPass+ experiences, touch-to-pay purchases and other entitlements. Once a MagicBand or card is linked to your Disney account, it cannot be transferred to another person.

If the band is linked to your sister's MDX account, you will not be able to remove it and assign it to your husband's account. So it'll work only if your husband uses your sister's MDX. That can be difficult, especially with admission tickets.
