We had a standard room looking out over a roof area covered in bird poop and bird nests. We had stayed woodsview and courtyard view several times before, but I was feeling cheap and booked standard and hoped for an upgrade. No upgrade and a room with a balcony looking at bird poop. I mean right at it - the roof was right at our balcony - I could have walked out onto it. So we did move up to the 5th floor and we just did not look down or once again we would have seen all the bird poop. If I had it to do over I would not ever book standard if I could afford to do woodsview. Too much stress hoping for an upgrade and then not getting it. When we were there the hotel was full so no upgrade.
