I agree.
Besides Disney is known for re-releasing items from time to time. It makes more money for them. They don't care if it drops the rarity for the collector.

How does it make "them" money? It is a free game.

It makes them money because the more people play it, the more ratings their game gets.. or at least that's just how TV programs work Just by getting more people on because of re-leasing things, some people get to keep their jobs.

I really don't mind vmk re-releasing items. There are several players joining vmk every day. They deserve the same chance to get the items that we did.

She's making a reference to how the Disney company re-releases things like old movies and pins so everyone has a chance to buy them. When Disney refers to movies coming out of "The Disney Vault," they just mean they're releasing things after retiring them for about 5-7 years.

I myself am not a fan of re-releasing rare items. By releasing some items, you raise the asking price of others. That's why if you want Stitch or Inferno you have to go through multi-window trades

I am really happy about the re-release. I have watch both of my kids get scammed trying to get rare pieces. I on the other hand have just waited it out, and I am thrilled! I've been saving credits like crazy, and now I can just buy them. We have only been playing since May, and was able to do a quest before when we went to Disney, but we won't be back to DW for a year. Next summer DL, then maybe I will be able to get some more things!

VMK was meant for kids, so re-releasing is good. If you want rare value stuff try Ebay they have lots of collectible categories.

The only reason this really bugs me is because I traded my flip hat for a pan hat, dreams shirts, a dreams pin, and a few other items, and now the pan hat comes out NOW??? man, talk about bad timing! Thanks a lot vmk!

It doesn't really bother me too much because I'd like to see everyone be able to get the items they'd like. I would however like to see them release items with different colors.

I am glad about it. Several reasons really.

• I am tired of the people who want me to give them my first-born for a non-buyable VIRTUAL item.
• This will help cut down on scamming.
• I could care less about flaunting my Dooney & Bourke purse, Tommy Hilfiger shirt and Rolex watch. They are virtual items and I like that people can get what they want to express themselves without acting like they own or needing to have an oil-rig.
• People who have joined since the last release can have items they like.

I agree Re-Releasing Items would lower scams, I also agree that it is good to release items, I had a pan hat before it was sold and i didnt really care; just to see players happy was good enough for me, but everyone has their own opinion.

Okay, I'm starting to feel a little different now that I paid someone good credits for a tron outfit a couple weeks ago and now it's on sale. Oh well. At least now I won't get people bugging me all the time to trade it.

I would like the re-releasing of the items a lot more IF THEY WOULDN'T ASK SO MUCH MONEY FOR THEM! I'm so poor I might have to sell all my Alice furnish for more credits!! WAAAH!!!!

I think that if they are going to re-release an item that has gained a lot of value since its last release, then they should sell it for a lot more credits. As in upwards of 10k +, so that the item does keep some of its rare value, but also keeps new players happy as they have the chance to finally obtain the item. Just a thought

I dont get the re-release of the Tron outfit today and the re-release of the pan hat was a bit surprising but it is in the dark rides theme and concerning the tiki items, I will finally be able to get over 100 tiki idols and more ^_^ So, I dont really care just dont understand why they re-release the tron outfit ..

How about releasing Inferno Magic Pins into the game regularly?! I've given up on believing some things will stay rare - I actually believe that this October will see the re-release of the Gray Mansion Suit, Brown Cowboy Shirts, Green Explorer's Outfit, Tan Explorer's Outfit, Green Reverse Hat and Princess Minnie Hat (Pink Tron would be nice too). This is only my opinion, and will be the only time I actually give this particular opinion in a forum.

If some are concerned, as I am, about the outrageous Inferno asking prices, then I say we all write Yavn and tell him. I'm at a "who cares" point about the re-release of items that were once rare - that has been VMK's m.o. for nearly a year. I'm tired, though, of things that shouldn't be valued so highly (Inferno, Sparrow for sure), but still are kept "rare."

I may be a little biased here, but personally I am happy they have re-released some previously rare items. I just started playing a month ago and I don't really have any rare things that it would have taken to get these items before. When I first started playing I figured it would take awhile for me (if ever) to get a Pan hat or crown. So I just started buying all of the weekend pins in hopes that one day they will become rare : lol. But now I get to wear a cute new green outfit to match my pan hat

I know some of you may be upset, and I really can understand why, especially if you had to trade a lot of stuff to get one rare item and now that item is on sale! I would be upset too. But I am also glad that I also have a chance to get some of this stuff. I guess I do like the idea though of releasing the same items in a different color, that would probably be the best way to keep everyone happy.

Yeah I agree with Geggy too. And wouldn't it be great if they released green flip shoes? Actually maybe it wouldn't since the people that have them already have been on VMK since day one, so it really wouldn't be fair to them I suppose..

Time to get over the "re-releasing items anger" any way. VMK is going to re-release items from time to time and there is nothing we can do about it.

What you paid for anything in the past is the price you paid for having it "right away" and not waiting for the re-release -- just like in real life. If you wait long enough things will come back or be re-released.


OK, back to putting together my bid for a Sparrow Outfit although I know someday they will re-release it in the game.
