Re-purchasing unused flight miles

If you had a non-refundable ticket and ended up not using the ticket......BUT the ticket/company did offer to refund the unused miles (10,000 miles) for a $50 fee is that a good deal?

Well, my airline charges me $25.00 for 1,000 miles so it would be a good deal to me! Especially if by putting those miles back in your account, you were closer to getting a free ticket.
