Hi~

We're thinking of renting points for our next trip so that we can try out a DVC resort. I know that when you book a reservation through Disney, the seasonal rate for the first day of the reservation applies for the entire reservation. Does it work the same way when booking with points through DVC? In other words, if the first day of the reservation is in Choice Season, would that rate apply to the entire stay?

Also, we want to travel during Thanksgiving week this year. Am I already too late to rent points for that week? We can be flexible about which resort!

TIA!

It doesn't work that way with DVC. You pay the number of points for each night separately regardless of which season your first night is in. And the seasons aren't the same either so if you were looking at CRO seasons, you should check out DVC seasons instead.

No, the points are calculated per night per the charts. There is no carryover when switching seasons.

It's not too late to rent points for Thanksgiving if you are willing to stay at any DVC resort. But if you are serious about renting, you need to get a reservation nailed down very soon. Thanksgiving through New Year's Day are busy times for the DVC resorts at WDW. There are already waitlists at the smaller DVC resorts for many of the days during that time frame.

There's still availability - but the longer you wait, the less likely you'll be able to get in.

Best wishes-
